After visiting and playing a stack of Crazy Golf, Minigolf and Adventure Golf in Skegness, the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour took us off to Ingoldmells on Saturday 21st May, for a go on the 12-hole Crazy Golf course at the Fantasy Island Theme Park.
The course was the 240th played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.
The course itself sat below the two massive Rollercoasters at Fantasy Island.
In a way the course/location reminded me of the Pike's Pass Miniature Golf course at the Circus Circus Hotel in Las Vegas, not in the course design, but in the fact that it was in close proximity to the Rollercoaster itself!
In our Irregular Mini Golf Tour Match-up Emily defeated me 33-34.
The course was fun to play, reasonably priced and with good equipment. It's worth a visit if you're in the area - even with so much else to see and do at Fantasy Island.
The Fantasy Island Theme Park is also home to the Largest Market in Europe! The site also sits within one of the biggest spreads of Caravan Parks in the UK!
On a Minigolf/Rollercoaster-related note - Back in June 2007 we visited Alton Towers to play the Ride-Themed Extraordinary Golf course - unfortunately it was closed. We've also played next to a rollercoaster at the Pike's Pass Miniature Golf course at Circus Circus Casino in Las Vegas.

Putting and a Pitch & Putt on South Parade, Skegness
Skegness is home to two Pitch and Putt-type Mini Golf courses (that we found).
The Pitch & Putt on the South Parade was closed on our visit on Friday 20th May, but was open on the 21st May. However, with a Crazy Golf course to play in Ingoldmells and a lot of ground to cover on the road to Hunstanton, Norfolk we didn't have time to play it.
As well as the Pitch & Putt, there is also a Putting Practice Area, however, the flags were not out for this, even on the Saturday. Perhaps it was a little too early in the season.

Crazy Golf on Skegness' South Parade
On our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour trip to Skegness we were unable to play the South Parade Crazy Golf course as it was closed on our visit.
There was also no sign of the 'Crazy Pool' that was advertised on the poster/sign down the prom!?
The course on South Parade in Skegness is one of the world's oldest locations to play minigolf and is believed to be the site of England's first miniature golf course. Set-up in the 1920's the date of its establishment varies from 1922 to 1927.

Skegness (Pebble Adventure Golf) - Closed on Visit
Unfortunately on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour visit to Skegness we were unable to play the Pebble Adventure Golf as it wasn't open any of the time we were there. This was quite odd as it sits in a prime location!?
Maybe we'll get a chance to play it next time...
