Christmas Crazy Golf in 2009

A look back at a festive pop-up crazy golf course in London.

Back in 2009 there was a Christmas-themed Minigolf course at Devonshire Square in London.

You had to putt into Santa's mouth - look in the photo above to see where it exited!

We'd played the course on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in October of that year when it was a 'normal' pop-up.

We went to Manchester on Thursday and upon arriving at Manchester Piccadilly station we sere surprised to see this Stranger Things Christmas tree!

A Mobile Phone Christmas Tree at Vodafone

A Christmas window display celebrating the world's first text message.

The world's first text message was sent over the Vodafone network on the 3rd December 1992.

This year Vodafone is celebrating this fact in its Christmas marketing activity, including window displays in retail stores, such as this one on Market Street in Manchester.

The Chrizy Golf Masters minigolf competition in Manchester

I won the Chrizy Golf Masters minigolf tournament in Manchester 13 years ago today!

The first - and to date only - Chrizy Golf Masters minigolf tournament was held on a festive-themed pop-up crazy golf course at Piccadilly Place in Manchester on the 30th November 2012.

The Chrizy Golf course was gone once the 2012 festive season was over and the building remained empty, or used for other pop-ups, until the team at Junkyard Golf made it their home for another minigolf course. That layout was there for a couple of years. They have since moved on and can be found at a permanent venue at First Street in the city.

The Chrizy Golf course was the 313th played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. We've now been to 1,111 courses since September 2006.

Crazy Golf at Northwich Christmas Extravaganza - Saturday 29th November

There's a free-to-play Crazy Golf course at the Christmas Extravaganza in Northwich, Cheshire.

Northwich Christmas Extravaganza will have a free Crazy Golf course for visitors to play on Saturday 29th November.

There will be a free-to-play crazy golf course at the Burnley Believes Christmas Lights Festival in Burnley, Lancashire on Saturday 15th November.

Candy Cane Crazy Golf in Doncaster

There will be a free-to-play Crazy Golf course in Doncaster this Christmas.

Candy Cane Crazy Golf will be set-up and free-to-play in Doncaster city centre this Christmas.

The festive-themed mini golf course will be set-up on Frenchgate in Doncaster on the 6th and 7th and 13th and 14th December, and then again daily from the 18th December to Christmas Eve.

UV Glow Crazy Golf at the 2025 Winter Glow event in Malvern

The Winter Glow Christmas Experience event returns to Malvern this festive season.

Three Counties Showground in Malvern, Worcestershire will once again be home to an 18-hole UV Glow Crazy Golf course as part of the Winter Glow event.

Winter Glow will be taking place at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern between the 21st November and 31st December 2025.
