Happy World Cycling Day.

It's amazing how may different things we've seen depicted on minigolf courses - this cycling-themed hole is at Trailer Trash Jim's Crazy Golf course at Level Preston

I've been Putting At Home during lockdown as well as getting out and about on my BMX

Bridgehall BMX Track in Stockport

I found a BMX track on my daily walk yesterday.

It's only 5 minutes away from my house too!

Amazing.

It's hidden in plain sight if you know where to look.

And there's me thinking I'd explored all of my local area!

The Source Park in Hastings

While walking along the promenade in Hastings last weekend we noticed some of the buildings on the seafront had been reopened since we were last in town in 2015. One in particular caught our eye as it had been boarded up when we'd walked passed it before. We found out it was previously an underground Victorian swimming baths, but is now an indoor skate and BMX park! We had to have a look inside. We were really impressed with what we saw.

Hastings is now home to the World's Largest Underground Skatepark!

Edgeley Skatepark at Alexandra Park in Stockport

On a lunchtime wander to Edgeley in Stockport I had a walk around Alexandra Park - home of the Woodstock Petanque Club. Apart from getting chased by a few geese down at Sykes Reservoir at the bottom of the park the biggest surprise was seeing how much work had been done on the new BMX and skatepark.

The Edgeley skatepark in Alexandra Park is being built on much of the area previously used as a Boules Terrain and Pistes for the Woodstock Petanque Club to play on.
