Loft Social - a new competitive socialising venue - is open in Stockport town centre.
We spotted this new sign for the venue today
Loft Social is home to indoor archery, curling, deck shuffle and pétanque, and can be found on the 3rd Floor of The Courts (above Sports Direct near the market place).
Playing Pétanque.
We're big fans of Pétanque so it's interesting to know there's a place to play in Stockport.
It's interesting finding unique crazy golf courses like the one at St Michael's Park. It's not a design or layout I've seen before, and the course certainly has some age to it. I wonder how many rounds have been played on it over the years?

Videos of the St Michael's Park Crazy Golf course in Cirencester.
While the crazy golf course was flooded - and I'd arrived in the early evening when it was closed - the park was a nice spot for a wander, with a café, plenty of green space, tennis courts, and something else that caught my eye - a Petanque Piste!
The sign at the park also showed there's a Pitch & Putt course there, however this wasn't fully cut in, although I did find a few tee-off points dotted around in the grass.
There's a Crazy Boules venue opening in Elephant & Castle, London in April.
Crazy Boules is a cross between Petanque and Crazy Golf!
The Crazy Boules venue in Elephant & Castle follows the brand's pop-up in Shoreditch where they had a six hole (or should that be piste?) course (or should that be terrain?).
The Crazy Boules course in Elephant & Castle will be open from Friday 4th April.
A look at the new Carhartt WIP Petanque Boule Set.
Carhartt WIP has teamed up with Obut to create a set of branded boules. They look superb.
I saw these Carhartt X Obut boules at the Carhartt WIP store in Manchester
I'm a BIG fan of both Petanque and Carhartt and have my eye on a set. I'm not sure if I could bring myself to actually use them on a petanque piste though!
I wonder if there'll ever be a Carhartt and Minigolf collaboration...?
We visited Bramhall Park for the first time yesterday. Crazy really as it's more or less on our doorstep!
We've been to so many other parts of the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport and surrounding areas since moving here in 2016 but have never got round to go going.
While there we saw a sign for a 'Boulles Court'.
It should be 'Boules' with one l. And it's a terrain or piste rather than 'Court'.
And really it should be called 'Petanque'.
We couldn't find the 'court' and we got a bit lost in the woods too
We're looking forward to visiting Bramall Hall when it reopens. In the meantime we'll spend some of our outdoor exercise time exploring the grounds during lockdown.
