Refurbishment at Mulligans Crazy Golf in Cheltenham

The Mulligans crazy golf venue in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire has received a refurbishment.

Mulligans Cheltenham is home to two indoor 18-hole adventure golf courses - one is Jurassic-themed, with the other having an underwater theme.

As well as the refurbishment to the two indoor crazy golf courses at Mulligans Cheltenham, the venue has seen the addition of Electro-Darts and Electro-Shuffle, along with a new family-friendly sports viewing zone.

There are 13 Mulligans sites across the UK, including venues in Basildon, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cheltenham, Guildford, Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes, Newcastle, Norwich, Stevenage, Tonbridge and Worcester.

Our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

We visited Mr Mulligan's Lost World Golf at The Brewery Quarter in Cheltenham when the venue launched back in October 2017. The two courses there - Neptune's Mist and Canopy Creek - were the 784th and 785th visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

The Crazy World of Minigolf Tour visits Putt Putt Social in Gloucester.

I swung by Putt Putt Social Gloucester at the King's Walk shopping centre in Gloucester, Gloucestershire last month.

Putt Putt Social Gloucester is home to two 9-hole indoor crazy golf courses - Tokyo Drift and Zen Garden.

I played both layouts on my visit, tackling the Tokyo Drift course first. The off-peak deal meant that playing both courses was £11 (one course is £9 a game).

I shot a round of 25 on the Tokyo Drift minigolf course at Putt Putt Social Gloucester, and followed up with a score of 19 - including two holes-in-one - on the Zen Garden course.

The Tokyo Drift and Zen Garden minigolf courses at Putt Putt Social Gloucester became the 1,093rd and 1,094th visited, and 588th and 589th played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour since September 2006.

My brother Christopher played at the Putt Putt Social venue in Norwich on his branch of the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour when the brand was known as Putt Putt Noodle. At Putt Putt Social Norwich you can find the Dragon Quest, Cherry Blossom and Crouching Tiger indoor minigolf courses.

We've now been to 1,099 miniature golf courses on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour to date. 1,038 of them have been in the British Isles. Combined with Christopher and his family's branch of the tour we've been to 1,152 courses in the British Isles and 21 overseas countries.

Emily has visited Japan before, but hasn't played minigolf there. Yet...

The Crazy Golf course at St Michael's Park in Cirencester

A visit to the Crazy Golf course at St Michael's Park in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Here's a look at the 12-hole outdoor Crazy Golf course at St Michael's Park in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

I arrived shortly after a torrential rain shower hit the town on Wednesday 27th August 2025.

The course became the 1,095th visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour since September 2006.

Closing in on our 1,100th minigolf course visit!

It's interesting finding unique crazy golf courses like the one at St Michael's Park. It's not a design or layout I've seen before, and the course certainly has some age to it. I wonder how many rounds have been played on it over the years?

Back in July 2020 our friend, minigolf rival and fellow adventure golf traveller Matt Dodd visited the course - it looked a lot more colourful half a decade ago!

While the crazy golf course was flooded - and I'd arrived in the early evening when it was closed - the park was a nice spot for a wander, with a café, plenty of green space, tennis courts, and something else that caught my eye - a Petanque Piste!

The sign at the park also showed there's a Pitch & Putt course there, however this wasn't fully cut in, although I did find a few tee-off points dotted around in the grass.
