Christmas Crazy Golf in 2009

A look back at a festive pop-up crazy golf course in London.

Back in 2009 there was a Christmas-themed Minigolf course at Devonshire Square in London.

You had to putt into Santa's mouth - look in the photo above to see where it exited!

We'd played the course on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in October of that year when it was a 'normal' pop-up.

We spotted this fun piece of seasonal window art at Marine Bathrooms on the High Street in Cheadle Village earlier this week! Very festive.

Spotting a festive wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man in Dereham, Norfolk.

While having a wander around Dereham on Saturday we spotted this Father Christmas wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man outside QD!

It's only the second Santa Airdancer we've seen on our travels.

The first Father Christmas Windy Man I spotted was in Cheadle Heath back in 2016.

We looked in the store and online but couldn't find one of the Father Christmas Airdancers for sale.

The last wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man of any description we saw was before the coronavirus pandemic on a trip to Ashton-under-Lyne where we spotted a wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man advertising Albion Mill Carpets.

Christmas Crazy Golf

Not long to go until Christmas!

It's highly doubtful we'll be playing any Christmas minigolf this festive season - our first Christmas in Lockdown.

Thankfully we've played a bit of yuletide crazy golf on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in the past.

While heading to my local Morrisons supermarket in Cheadle Heath my finely honed senses alerted me to something ludicrous across the car park - a Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man at the Stockport branch of Terry's Fabrics.

And it wasn't just any old Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man. No, it was a Father Christmas Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man! Something I've not seen before. A marvellous a sight to behold.

In my element

It's almost a year to the day since I spotted a non-articulated inflatable advertising Xmas Tree in my old home town of Luton.

Airdancers - to give them their official name - are one of my favourite forms of advertising. They certainly are attention grabbing.

Spotting a MASSIVE inflatable Father Christmas.

This has got to be the BIGGEST inflatable character I've seen on my travels! He was at Star City in Birmingham.
