A new Mini Adventure Golf course is opening at the Tee Time Golf Centre in Thornton-Cleveleys this summer.

The outdoor 12-hole minigolf course will have a local landmark-theme.

Looking back at the 2009 Blackpool Pleasure Beach Open minigolf tournament.

I won the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Open minigolf competition 16 years ago today.

We played in the Pleasure Beach Open minigolf tournament at the Adventure Golf course in Blackpool 16 years ago today. The event was held as part of the Illuminations celebrations.

We had a cracking time in the seaside resort and to top things off I won!

The trophy for the tournament is still one of the best I've seen in the world of minigolf!

The second Blackpool Pleasure Beach Open minigolf tournament was played on the 12-hole Adventure Golf course. After three rounds and 36-holes I won the tournament with a score of 81, eight shots ahead of runner-up John Moore, and 17 shots ahead of third-placed Steve Gow.

My first round score of 24 also smashed the previous course record. And it's still the official course record on the layout.

I shot the course record - a 24 in the first round of the 2009 Pleasure Beach Open. However, Peter McGillivray's name and round of 25 shots has been up on the board since 2016! But I'm not bitter about it lol

New Adventure Mini Golf course planned for the Tee Time Golf Centre in Blackpool

There are plans for a new Adventure Mini Golf course to be created at the Tee Time Golf Centre in Blackpool, Lancashire.

The new Adventure Mini Golf course would be a 12-hole outdoor layout.

On this day in 2009 we were in Blackpool to play in the second Blackpool Pleasure Beach Open minigolf tournament that was held as part of the Illuminations celebrations.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach Adventure Golf

We had a look at the Pleasure Beach Adventure Golf course on a return visit to Blackpool earlier this week.

In September 2009 I won the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Open minigolf tournament on the course.

I believe the course had a refresh recently. It looks to be in good condition.

I shot the course record - a 24 in the first round of the 2009 Pleasure Beach Open. However, Peter McGillivray's name and round of 25 shots has been up on the board since 2016! I'm not bitter about it lol

Putt Above Mini Golf & Bar in Blackpool

We spotted the Putt Above Mini Golf & Bar in Blackpool earlier this week.

The indoor minigolf venue is located on the promenade not too far from the Blackpool Tower.

We didn't have time to play the high-tech indoor minigolf course on the nice and sweltering hot day out, but will give it a go when we're back on a less pleasant day weather-wise in the seaside town.

Putt Above Mini Golf & Bar in Blackpool

A new Putt Above Mini Golf & Bar venue is opening in Blackpool.

Blackpool will soon be home to a new indoor high-tech minigolf course as Putt Above Mini Golf & Bar opens on Blackpool Promenade on Thursday 11th January.

We're yet to play at Putt Above Mini Golf - there is also a Putt Above location at Merry Hill in Dudley. Putt Above Mini Golf differs to 'traditional' miniature golf as you play your round on the same lane, with obstacles and theming projection mapped onto the playing surface.

The Princess Parade Crazy Golf course in Blackpool has now been open again for a year and a day.

Reopening the abandoned North Shore course

Blackpool and the Fylde Street Angels and Blackpool Fulfilling Lives joined forces to refresh and reopen the Princess Parade Crazy Golf course on Blackpool's North Shore in 2019 and a number of other people and groups have been a part of the project. Including me.

The base of the course itself has changed very little since it was first created in the late 1950's and it's wonderful that the area is easily recognisable from old postcards from the 1960s, 70s and 80s.

There have still been some very noticeable improvements to the course and the whole area it sits in. Most notable are the repairs to the obstacles as well as the addition of professional putting carpet to the holes. It makes the course very nice to play.

The Princess Parade Crazy Golf course on Blackpool's North Shore is open for the season.

The course is now open daily 10am to 6pm (weather permitting). Take a look at the Princess Parade Crazy Golf Facebook Group for more information.

Hole in Wand minigolf opening in Blackpool

A new magic-themed indoor minigolf course is opening in Blackpool.

The team at the Hole in Wand minigolf in York are opening a second venue, this one will be on Blackpool Promenade.

The indoor miniature golf course will be opening in part of the former Woolworths unit on the seafront!

We're often over in Blackpool as it's one of our local seasides. The last time I was there I was lucky enough to see the ghost signs of the former Woolies store!

Hole in Wand will be another new venue for us to visit on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.
