A look at the Riverside Shopping Centre in Evesham, Worcestershire.

I had a walk through the Riverside Shopping Centre in Evesham while visiting the town last August.

It was such an interesting sight and experience to see an open shopping mall with so few open shops inside it! Really haunting.

As it is no longer viable as a shopping centre there are plans to demolish the shopping centre and regenerate the area.

Urban exploration - Blockbuster Video Express in Billingham town centre, Teesside

A look at the old Blockbuster Video Express store in Billingham town centre, Teesside.

We visited the former Blockbuster Video Express store in Billingham town centre, Teesside during the pandemic.

Blockbuster ceased operations in the UK in December 2013, so it was interesting to see there were still signs of the brand at the old shop - including a near mint condition shop front!

Similar to the abandoned Blockbuster stores in Manchester and Colne, the inside of the abandoned shop had an eerie look to it.

Urban exploration - Guildhall Shopping Centre in Stafford

A look at the Guildhall Shopping Centre in Stafford, Staffordshire.

The Guildhall Shopping Centre in Stafford closed its doors in March 2024.

This is how it looked in November 2024.

The shopping centre had started to be closed down in April 2022, with sections and entrances being closed off.

A look at a lost shopping centre in Norwich, Norfolk.

Anglia Square shopping centre in Norwich opened in 1970.

Anglia Square shopping centre has now closed and been partly demolished, with plans to build new housing, offices and retail space on the site.

We visited Anglia Square shopping centre several times when in the city. Mostly to go to Sutton Toys, an excellent retro and vintage toy and videogame shop - which has now relocated to Reepham Road in Norwich.

CLUB GOLF pop-up crazy golf in London

Looking back at the CLUB GOLF pop-up minigolf course at Coal Drops Yard in King's Cross, London.

I was lucky enough to get a game in on the pop-up Crazy Golf course at Coal Drops Yard in King's Cross, London on the 25th February 2020.

It was the last new minigolf course I played before the coronavirus pandemic lockdown hit the UK.

The 9-hole rave-inspired art installation crazy golf course was the 948th course visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour and the 542nd played.

Artists Baker & Borowski created the 9-hole themed Crazy Golf layout inspired by the rave culture in the King's Cross area back in the 1980's and 1990's.

I shot a round of 23 in my game - the scorecard noted that the maximum score allowed was 63! A seven on each hole.

Urban exploration and a liminal space - the Cornbow shopping centre in Halesowen

A visit to the Cornbow shopping centre in Halesowen.

There's something nice and eerie about a shopping centre after hours.

This was the view of the Cornbow shopping centre in Halesowen from near to the Asda entrance while I was out shopping there last August.

It's definitely got a bit of Dawn of the Dead about it!

It was a lot busier during the day though which was nice to see.

The Lost Valley Adventure Golf in Evesham, Worcestershire

There's an Adventure Golf course at The Valley in Evesham.

The Valley activity centre in Evesham, Worcestershire is home to an 18-hole outdoor Aztec Adventure Golf course.

The venue also has a high ropes aerial adventure.

The activities are part of The Valley shopping and entertainment centre. Looking on The Valley's website there's a miniature railway there too!

Our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

We first heard about the plans for the course in 2022 and it's nice to see it's open and doing well.

The Lost Valley Adventure Golf course is one we'll have to visit on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in the future.

Art & Putt Mini Golf at Clarks Village in Street, Somerset

Clarks Village outlet shopping mall in Street, Somerset will have an Art & Putt Mini Golf course this summer.

Art & Putt Mini Golf is a 9-hole mini golf course and will be set-up from Saturday 19th July to Sunday 31st August.

The holes and obstacles on the Art & Putt Mini Golf course are inspired by influential artists from the 20th and 21st centuries.

Dino-themed mini golf at Runcorn Shopping City

Runcorn Shopping City will have a dino-themed mini golf course set-up during the May half-term week.

The 9-hole pop-up mini golf course will be available to play for free daily from 11am to 3pm between Saturday 24th and Saturday 31st May.

The pop-up mini golf course will be accompanied by a T-Rex Dinosaur Trail.
