Halloween Night Golf at MiniLinks in Fleetwood

The MiniLinks golf venue in Fleetwood is running a Night Golf event.

MiniLinks Golf in Fleetwood, Lancashire is hosting a Halloween Night Golf event across the Pitch & Putt miniature golf and Crazy Golf courses at the outdoor venue in the seaside town.

You can play Night Golf at MiniLinks from Sunday 26th October to Sunday 2nd November.

Our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Many thanks to the team at MiniLinks for letting us know about the Night Golf event. We're yet to make it back over to Fleetwood since MiniLinks took on the site on the Esplanade. We have previously visited the Pitch & Putt and Crazy Golf courses there, but that was when they were abandoned. MiniLinks Golf has spend a lot of time and effort getting the venue and its courses up and running. We're looking forward to giving them a play on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

A postcard from a Crazy Golf course in Fleetwood - sent on this day in 1966

A look at an old postcard from Fleetwood, Lancashire.

This old minigolf postcard from my collection was sent from Southport to Solihull on the 24th May 1966.

The card shows a now long gone Crazy Golf course. As well as the pier, itself demolished in 2008 following a fire.

We've played minigolf in Fleetwood on our Crazy World of Minigolf, at the also now long since demolished Crazy Golf course at Marine Gardens. We've also visited the course between the Pitch & Putt and the beach. That particular course has recently been refurbished and reopened, and is one we need to play.

A Crazy Golf course is opening at the MiniLinks in Fleetwood, Lancashire.

MiniLinks has moved and is re-opening the Pitch & Putt miniature golf layout on the seafront in Fleetwood on the Fylde coast.

We've played MiniLinks courses before - including Mini Majors competitions - and are looking forward to checking out the two new MiniLinks courses at Marine Gardens in Fleetwood.

As well as the larger miniature golf layouts, the team at MiniLinks are working on a Crazy Golf course.

We've visited the Fylde coast a fair bit on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour over the years and have visited several minigolf courses in Fleetwood. The Crazy Golf course at Marine Gardens in Fleetwood had been abandoned for quite a long time and we'd never seen it open since we've been visiting. We hadn't played the Pitch & Putt there either - it looks like a BIG and long miniature golf course! There used to be a Crazy Golf course at the nearby Marine Hall Gardens in Fleetwood too, we played that way back in 2009.

There's an Adventure Golf course at Haven Cala Gran Holiday Park in Fleetwood, Lancashire.

The outdoor Adventure Golf course opened in 2024.

A look at the Crazy Golf course at Marine Gardens in Fleetwood.

We had a walk round the 18-hole Crazy Golf course at Marine Gardens in Fleetwood on our recent return trip to the seaside town.

We first visited the layout on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour back in 2012.

The location is also home to a Pitch & Putt course.

There used to be a Miniature Railway at the Marine Gardens Pitch & Putt and Crazy Golf venue in Fleetwood.

We spotted the remains of a miniature railway while taking a walk round the Pitch & Putt and Crazy Golf course at Marine Gardens in Fleetwood.

You can still see - and walk through - the old miniature railway tunnel on the perimeter of the Pitch & Putt miniature golf course

Playing the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Adventure Golf course in 2008

On our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour we've visited the wonderful seaside resort of Blackpool, Lancashire twice. Both visits were to play in the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Open minigolf tournament at the Pleasure Beach Adventure Golf Course.

While in Blackpool we've been able to play (or at least visit) all of the courses on offer in the town, and a lot of those in surrounding areas.

We first visited the Pleasure Beach's brand new Adventure Golf course for the inaugural Pleasure Beach Open in 2008, and on our return to the course in 2009 I won the competition!

Minigolf Course Visit No. 152 - Fleetwood Crazy Golf

When we arrived in Fleetwood on a very wet and windy Saturday morning it didn't look like the Crazy Golf course at Marine Hall Gardens would be opening.






But, after we took a stroll along the beach and as we were just heading back to the car, resigned to the fact that we wouldn't be getting to play the course, we spotted that the course would be open.



And so the 12-hole Crazy Golf course at Fleetwood, Lancashire became Minigolf Course Visit Number 152.

It's quite a good course, however the final hole had an almost impossible obstacle to get through. I took a five and so ruined an otherwise perfect round that was headed for a score of Par.
