A look at miniature golf courses in Greater Manchester.
There are a lot of options for minigolfing in Greater Manchester, with a variety of courses to play, ranging from traditional crazy golf to indoor minigolf to new adventure golf layouts.
We've been travelling to play minigolf in Manchester since 2009 when I won the Mini Masters and Mini Open at the Trafford Golf Centre. I also won the Chrizy Golf Masters at Piccadilly Place in 2012. We moved to Stockport in 2016 and have continued to compete in events. Emily is the reigning Paradise Island Adventure Golf Open champion, while I won the tournament in 2018. I also won the DinoFalls Masters at the Trafford Golf Centre last year.

Over the years we've played a number of other minigolf courses in Manchester on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. Some have been portable courses, while others have been temporary or pop-up locations.There's also a grass Putting course at Park Square in Cheadle Heath, Stockport. This private Putting Green is for use by tenants and employees at the office complex. It's actually our closest course, but one we're not allowed to play.

We've now also played Crazy Golf at Walkden Town Centre as there was a pop-up course at the shopping centre last week.
It's sad to hear that Amazonia in Bolton has closed its doors.
There was a very nice indoor Adventure Golf course there.
The new Volcano Adventure Golf course at the Trafford Golf Centre in Manchester opens on Tuesday 17th December 2019.
Amazonia in The Vaults at the Market Place shopping centre in Bolton has re-opened.
Great news to hear that the indoor Adventure Golf course there is now playable again.
Last night we played the brand new Dino Falls Adventure Golf Volcano course at the Trafford Golf Centre.
It's the latest course to open in the UK and another venue to play the game in Greater Manchester.
The new Dino Falls Adventure Golf Volcano course at the Trafford Golf Centre was the 901st course we've been to in the British Isles and the 940th we've visited overall on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour since 2006.
Manchester will soon be home to a new minigolf course as Roxy Ball Room opens a new venue at the Arndale Centre this April.
We swung by The Lost Valley Adventure Golf course at Amazonia in Bolton's Market Place shopping centre on Saturday afternoon.
I played the 18-hole indoor course back in December 2016. Time flies!

We also visited the Pitch & Putt course at Wythenshawe Park.
The new Puttstars indoor minigolf centre at Rochdale Riverside entertainment, leisure and shopping centre is opening in August.
Puttstars is a new concept from the Hollywood Bowl Group and the Rochdale venue will feature three 9-hole minigolf courses.
We found two miniature golf courses by accident yesterday afternoon!
Both layouts were in the City of Salford - one was a Putting Green at Victoria Park in Pendlebury, Swinton and the other was a Pitch & Putt course at Buile Hill Park in Salford.
Kearsley Golf Range is home to a Pitch & Putt course and Putting Greens.
We look forward to visiting on our tour in the future.
Parr Fold Park in Walkden is home to a Pitch & Putt course.
It's another fairly local miniature golf layout for us to visit in the future.
Manor Park in Glossop has an outdoor crazy Golf course. Not been for a while but last time I went it was playable. No equipment hire tho so have to take one's own.

As you say it's worth taking your own putter and ball to have a game. It was very tricky, but fun, when we played there a few years ago.
It's just occured to me that Glossop is Derbyshire, not Greater Manchester. oops. lol
I'd still count Glossop as just about GM. It's right on the border where we are in Stockport.
Plus Glossop railway station is still part of GMPTE and unconnected to any other rail line in Derbyshire so the town should be fully adopted as Greater Manchester.
A mini-golf course is opening as part of the new Urban Playground at the Arndale centre in Manchester.
