A look back at the Gold Mine Adventure Golf course and Cactus Canyon River Ride at Bottons Pleasure Beach in Skegness, Lincolnshire.

We played the Gold Mine Adventure Golf course in Skegness back in May 2011, and returned in May 2015.

The course had a fun river ride running through it too! That was the first - and to date only - time we've seen that on a minigolf course.

We need to revisit Skegness on our Crazy World of Minigolf as there have been several changes and additions to the minigolf courses in the seaside resort since the last time we were there.

Working at Toys R Us.

My first job while at university in the year 2000 was as one of Geoffrey's helpers at the Luton store. I worked on the video game and electronics section.

The old Toys R Us.

It's been very interesting to find that there are still remnants of the brand on some retail parks in the UK and we've visited several of these closed, abandoned, derelict and demolished Toys R Us locations on our travels.

Toys R Us at TGJones and WHSmith in the UK.

Toys R Us returned to the UK shopping scene in 2022 with an online presence and in 2023 with concessions opening inside some WH Smith shops.

The relaunched Toys R Us brand can be found in sections of some travel hub WHSmith stores, as well being inside some of the rebranded TGJones shops.

There are currently over 90 Toys R Us stores open nationwide.

Stonehenge The BIG Mini Golf course in Hemsby, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk was the 174th course played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in June 2010 back when it was a 15-hole layout. We first visited it in May 2009 when it was a 12-hole course. It's now an 18-hole course.
