Mad Swans is a new venue and home to a mini golf course.

It's always interesting finding out about new minigolf courses and Putt Patch at Mad Swans is a new one for us to visit on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

The site of England's first-ever Crazy Golf course is now home to a hotel.

A new Travelodge hotel and Starbucks drive-thru are now open on the location of England's first Crazy Golf course.

The Original Crazy Golf course on South Parade in Skegness, Lincolnshire had been derelict since 2018.

England's first 'Crazy Golf' course opened on South Parade in Skegness in 1926 and the game is widely known by that name in the UK. Crazy Golf is seldom, if ever, used overseas except in tourist spots popular with UK holidaymakers.

In May 2015 The Original Crazy Golf course became the 363rd played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. We'd first visited the course in 2011.

We've also got some nice old postcards of the course in our collection.

Interestingly the course is called 'golf miniatura', 'et petit golf' and 'miniature golf' to cater for the languages of different guests.

Looking online, while the hotel (Eurostars Gran Hotel La Toja) is still there it no longer has a minigolf course.

This old minigolf postcard shows a course at the Hotel Jamaica in Magaluf. It was posted to London, however the postmark and date of sending isn't clear.

Looking online, Hotel Jamaica closed in 2009 and was demolished in 2016.

Mini-Golf at Kaboodle in Derry, Northern Ireland

A mini-golf course will be one of the activities at a new entertainment centre opening in Derry, Northern Ireland.

A new entertainment venue called Kaboodle is opening in Derry this year. Among the activities on offer will be indoor mini-golf.

Kaboodle will be located next to the Holiday Inn Express on Strand Road in the city.

The new venue is planned to open on Wednesday 21st May.

The site of England's first-ever Crazy Golf course is in the process of being turned into a hotel and drive-thru.

A new Travelodge hotel and Starbucks drive-thru are being built on the location of England's first Crazy Golf course.

The Original Crazy Golf course on South Parade in Skegness, Lincolnshire has been derelict since 2018, and work is progressing on the site with the new businesses set to open in 2025.

Swingers Las Vegas is opening in November

Swingers Crazy Golf Las Vegas is opening at the Mandalay Bay on Friday 8th November 2024.

Swingers Las Vegas is opening five crazy golf courses at MGM's Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino this year!

Emily was on holiday in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA earlier this year where she swung by the new Swingers Las Vegas indoor minigolf venue where the five 9-hole indoor crazy golf courses are being created at Mandalay Bay.

The new Swingers Las Vegas crazy golf location is set to open on Friday 8th November.

Here's a look at the Hotel Beatriz Playa & Spa minigolf course in Puerto Del Carmen. It's a course Emily went to while on a holiday to Lanzarote back in May 2022.

The course was the 992nd visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

My brother Christopher and his family had a holiday in Türkiye last month and spotted this Mini Golf course at Club & Hotel Letoonia.

Altogether we've now visited 1,107 courses on our combined Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Container Golf at Ffolkes

A visit to the Container Golf course at the Ffolkes Pub and Hotel in King's Lynn, Norfolk.

My brother Christopher, a charter member of the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour, and his family recently stayed at the Ffolkes Pub and Hotel in King's Lynn, Norfolk. While there they played the 9-hole Container Golf course.
