There's a new adventure golf course at Rudding Park hotel, spa and golf resort in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

The Great Yorkshire Golf Adventure is a new adventure golf course at Rudding Park hotel, spa and golf resort in Harrogate.

The Great Yorkshire Golf Adventure 18-hole outdoor adventure golf course at Rudding Park opens on Saturday 1st August.

We swung by the mini golf course at Selby Park in Selby, North Yorkshire on a visit to the town on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

The 18-hole layout was in a very nice spot and looked ace.

A new 9-hole crazy golf course is planned to replace the old mini golf course in Selby Park, Selby as part of a project to improve the park.

Bay View Mini Golf opened at the Tennis & Bowling Club in Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby this year. It's closed for the season, but re-opens in 2026.

Our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. 

Bay View Mini Golf in Robin Hood's Bay looks like an interesting and unique course - it's a crazy golf course with raised borders, but played on a grass putting surface! It's always interesting to see new and different types of courses. We look forward to checking it out on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in the future.

Plans for an Adventure Golf course in Scarborough

There are plans for an adventure golf course to be installed in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

The 18-hole outdoor adventure golf course would be installed by the team at Observation Wheel UK and be in place until October 2027.

Free Crazy Golf in Skipton on Friday 1st August

There will be a free-to-play Crazy Golf course in Skipton, North Yorkshire on Friday 1st August.

Skipton BID is organising a day of activities to celebrate Yorkshire Day on Friday 1st August.

One of the activities on offer will be a free-to-play 9-hole Crazy Golf course set-up in the Canal Basin in the town.

Our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

We visited the Adventure Golf course on Scarborough's North Bay on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour back in June 2008 when the course became the 55th played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. We returned in 2019.

We're looking forward to returning to the seaside town in the future.

Mini Golf at Studfold Adventure Trail in Harrogate

There's a pop-up mini golf course at Studfold Adventure Trail in Harrogate, North Yorkshire this summer.

The pop-up 9-hole mini golf course at Studfold Adventure Trail in Harrogate is open from Saturday 19th July and everyday during the summer holidays. It will then be open at weekends until the end of September.

It's another new course for us to check out on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Scarborough's North Bay Crazy Golf - the 900th course we visited

We visited our 900th minigolf course back in June 2019.

We made the landmark 900th course visit on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour when we had a round at the North Bay Mini Golf course in Scarborough, North Yorkshire on the 7th June 2019.

We were staying near Peasholm Park and had seen a number of the other courses in the North Bay area shortly after arriving in the town. As it was a Friday - and a rainy one at that - none were open.

While walking along the clifftop we spied the North Bay Crazy Golf course and I couldn't run down the hill quickly enough to get a closer look at the 12-hole course.

Luckily for us the course was open

It's always brilliant to find unique courses and the North Bay Crazy Golf course was just that. There were some very nice hole-in-one opportunities and a few tricky second putts on the colourful course. What was really great to see was that the borders had felt on them that allowed skilful shots to be rewarded.

  

In our round I shot a 24 to take the win, with Emily scoring a 26 and our friend Cat Patterson hitting a 33.

Our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

The North Bay Crazy Golf course in Scarborough was the 900th visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour since September 2006. When our travels began there were around 600 courses in the UK.

As at January 2025 there are approximately 1,370 minigolf courses around the UK and British Isles (including Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, and other islands). This includes public courses, as well as those at pay to enter attractions, holiday parks, hotels and other 'non-standard' locations. And there are new courses being planned, in development, and opening all the time!

We've now been to a total of 1,083 miniature golf courses on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour, with 1,022 of them in the British Isles. Our travels have been recognised by the Guinness World Records, and I'm a record holder for "Most miniature golf courses visited" (902 at the time of going to press). Check out the Guinness World Records 2024 book and the Guinness World Records website to see a lot more minigolf records too!

Of the original list of 600 course we've still got to visit 39 of the public courses. In addition there are a further 150 courses at pay to enter attractions, hotels and holiday parks that we've not yet been to.
