Crazy Golf at the DL1 Leisure Park in Darlington

There's a pop up crazy golf course at the DL1 Leisure Park in Darlington this month.

A pop up crazy golf course has been set up at the DL1 Leisure Park in Darlington for free play on weekends in August.

Pop up Crazy Golf in Solihull town centre

There's a pop up crazy golf course set up in Solihull town centre for the summer.

Backyard Golf is open daily, 11am to 5pm and can be found on Theatre Square at the Touchwood shopping and entertainment centre in Solihull.

Summer Fair with Crazy Golf at the centre:mk

There's a free-to-play crazy golf course at the centre:mk's Summer Fair in Milton Keynes.

You can find the course in Middleton Hall at the centre:mk shopping centre until the 30th August.

We've played a number of courses in Milton Keynes on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour over the years, including three pop-ups at the centre:mk.

Cue Gardens Crazy Pool at The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre in Preston

The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre in Preston is now home to a new Crazy Pool course.

A new Crazy Pool layout has opened at The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre in Preston, Lancashire.

As the name suggests, Crazy Pool is a cross between crazy golf and pool, with wacky obstacles traversed by a ball 'potted' by the player using a cue.

The Crazy Pool course at The Flower Bowl is a 9-hole setup.

The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre is also home to a Secret Garden Crazy Golf course.

We haven't managed to make it to the centre on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour yet, but are looking forward to playing some games there.

Crazy cue games

We've seen a fair few variations and hybrids of minigolf, pool, snooker & billiards games on our travels.

These have included Crazy Golf Pool and Pit-Pat, as well as some Crazy Golf obstacles that have been created using old pool and snooker tables.

We competed in The Brewmaster's Open at the Camden Town Brewery nine years ago today. It was part of 2012's brilliant summer of sport in the capital.

The Brewmaster's Open at the Camden Town Brewery was a marvellous event played on a portable 5-hole minigolf course from UrbanCrazy. More than 200 players competed in the tournament. And I made it onto the podium!

We've found out about another new crazy golf course for us to visit on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Minigolf at the Devon Railway Centre and Model World in Bickleigh

Finding a mini miniature golf course in Bickleigh, Tiverton.

My brother and his family were recently down in Devon and swung by the Devon Railway Centre on one of the days of their trip. Sadly the venue wasn't open at that time, but they did return later in the week when it was as there's a crazy golf course there too.

Unfortunately the course was so busy while they were there they didn't get to have a game, but they did find this superb and very mini crazy golf in the model world part of the centre!

The Crazy Golf course at the Devon Railway Centre counts as a visit - even though it wasn't played - and the model course is at least half a visit too. This means the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour list of courses visited since September 2006 now stands at 998.5!

The indoor space-themed adventure golf course at the tenpin bowling venue opened in November 2019 and is the sister course to the funfair-themed adventure golf course at the Superbowl in Warrington.

Crazy Golf at Pennywell Farm in Buckfastleigh

My brother Christopher and his family recently visited Pennywell Farm in Buckfastleigh, South Devon and while there spotted the free to play Crazy Golf course at the farm.

The course became the 997th visited overall on our combined Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Glow in One Golf opening in Watford

A new glow-in-the-dark minigolf course is opening in Watford, Hertfordshire.

The indoor glow-in-the-dark minigolf course will have a mixture of an urban/street theme for part of the course and a space-theme for the other!

A new indoor mini-golf venue is opening Rugby, Warwickshire.

A cities of the world themed indoor minigolf course is opening at the Swan Centre in Rugby, Warwickshire.

Mini Golf at Arrow Valley Visitor Centre and Lake in Redditch

There's a pop up mini golf course at Arrow Valley Visitor Centre and Lake in Redditch.

Arrow Valley Visitor Centre and Lake in Redditch have set up a mini golf layout for the summer with play available on the course weekdays 11am to 2pm.

The mini golf course is a Putterfingers modular set-up and a type we've played a few times on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour over the years, including a tournament at the Oswestry Games in 2012.

Junglemania Adventure Golf in Farnham

A look at the new Junglemania Adventure Golf course in Farnham, Surrey.

Last month our friend, minigolf rival and fellow crazy golf adventurer Matt Dodd let us know about a new course opening near to him. The course is now open and he's been along for a round.

Junglemania Adventure Golf is an 18-hole jungle-themed course at Bowenhurst Lane in Farnham, Surrey.

Matt and Helen Dodd and their family have visited hundreds of courses on their travels. There are a number of courses they have played that we haven't got to yet, and vice versa. Together we've almost been to them all!

Matt tells me that the course plays very well and has a number of obstacles and hole designs he hadn't seen before on his travels.

We're looking forward to a future visit and a 'friendly' competitive round against Matt and Helen on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Gutterball opening at the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow

A new Gutterball venue is opening at the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow.

It will be the second Gutterball location from the team behind Lane7 and follows the first site in North Shields.

We've played minigolf at the adult-oriented Lane7 venue in Newcastle. Gutterball Alleys are family entertainment centres and the North Shields Gutterball is home to tenpin bowling, guttergolf minigolf, pool, arcades, ping pong and indoor baseball batting cages.

We're looking forward to playing guttergolf crazy golf on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in the future.

New Adventure Golf course in Uckfield

The Cow Putt Adventure Golf course at Heaven Farm in Uckfield opens this month.

A new 18-hole farm-themed adventure golf course is opening at Heaven Farm in Uckfield, East Sussex on Saturday 31st July.

There are plans for a new Adventure Golf Putting course in Nottinghamshire.

Many thanks to my friend and minigolf rival Jam Trubridge for tipping me off about the plans for a new Adventure Golf Putting course at Leen Valley Golf Club in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire.

As well as the miniature golf layout the plans also include the creation of a toboggan run!
