This one was missing a letter on its sign.

But had gained two letters to become Goodfather Pizza

We've seen quite a few Godfathers on our travels.

Fuddruckers

Fuddruckers is soon to be no more.

It was announced this week that the brand is to be liquidated. Fuddruckers was founded in Texas in 1979. As of last year there were 156 Fuddruckers.

I've never eaten at one but did see a branch at The Orleans Casino in Las Vegas back in 2011.

Lost shops - Burger King in Chester

Spotting a fast food ghost sign in Chester.

We spotted this ghost sign of a former Burger King while having a walk round Chester.

Merrie England

A specifically Yorkshire fast food place.

I love the quaint look of the Merrie England branding. They even have a mock Tudor style inside

I'd never heard of the Merrie England coffee shop brand until I visited Huddersfield in May this year. It's a chain with branches in Huddersfield, Halifax and Brighouse.

There seem to be Merrie England coffee shops on every main street and shopping area in Huddersfield!

Looking on the Merrie England website they offer gluten free options too.

Hot Dog mascots of Southend

On our day out in Southend we spotted quite a few Hot Dog fast food mascots - three of which were in Adventure Island, and two of those were of a style we'd not seen on our travels before.

Not a Burger

A new type of happy hot dog man mascot - this one is covered in tomato sauce, or tomato ketchup

And another - this one is mustardy

Another example of the classic self- condimentising hot dog man

We also spotted a fair few cannibal chip men too.
