I spotted a piece in yesterday's Daily Express about Charles Dickens in a list of 'Ten things you never knew about...Dickens'. I never knew he "hated the game of Croquet."
I wonder what he would've made of Minigolf?

I understand he wasn't a fan of trains either. Two of my favourite pastimes. Admittedly if he played croquet on the Thanet seafront it could on occasions be quite bleak. I wonder whether John Betjeman liked croquet?
