Revisiting the Novelty Automation amusement arcade in London.

On our way back from a trip down to London earlier this month we took a shortcut on our way to the station and noticed we were on the same road as the Novelty Automation amusement arcade. We hadn't visited since it first opened in 2015 so had to go in for a play on the madcap arcade games. The 1st of April was the perfect day to play.

The arcade games at Novelty Automation are from the mind of inventor Tim Hunkin. I enjoyed my game on i-Zombie. There's a nice surprise at the end of the game too!

We first discovered the crazy novelty automation games at the Under the Pier Show arcade on Southwold Pier in Suffolk in 2009.

It was brilliant to see some of my favourite games were still there, alongside some new additions.

Marine Gardens Putting course in Worthing

A revisit to the Marine Gardens Putting course in Worthing.

On Saturday evening we had a stroll along the promenade to visit the Marine Gardens in Worthing.

The cups were in place though

Unfortunately we were a little late to play a game on the course.

In 2016 out friend and minigolf rival Trevor 'Lord of Smeeth' Robertson noticed that a quirky Crazy Golf style course had been set up next to the grass Putting Green at the gardens.

A revisit to Splash Point Mini Golf in Worthing's Denton Gardens.

On Saturday 6th April we replayed one of the trickiest and fun miniature golf courses in the country as we swung by Splash Point Mini Golf in Denton Gardens, Worthing.

Splash Point Mini Golf is one of my favourite minigolf courses and is a real test of putting skill.

When we had a wander through Denton Gardens in the afternoon it was lovely to see the course busy with players

In 2010 the 18-hole course in Worthing's Denton Gardens became the 181st course visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

We're now up to 862 courses, with many many many revisits to courses since we set off on our travels in September 2006.

Jiggers Miniature Golf at Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel

A look at the Jiggers Miniature Golf at Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel in Suffolk.

Last May we played the Jiggers Miniature Golf course that had recently opened at Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel in Suffolk. In March this year my brother, and Charter Member of the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour, Christopher spotted the course while on a wander round the area and sent over these snaps.

Jiggers Miniature Golf is a 9-hole minigolf course on the banks of the Meare boating lake. It was nicely designed and a fun layout to play.

The attention to detail on the course is brilliant, with miniature versions of the windmill and the 'House in the Clouds' just like the real things just a stone's throw from the course.

Playing Mini Golf at FTW in Chicago

A revisit to the indoor minigolf course at FTW in Chicago, USA.

Emily returned to Chicago last month and while there had a game on the indoor minigolf course at FTW.

Last year the Mini Golf course at FTW Chicago at 322 East Illinois Street became the 807th course visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. This time Emily was able to play the layout so it became the 504th played on our travels.

The course is a 6-hole layout themed on the Windy City.

In Emily's game against Luke Moseley and Jennifer Wallner she came up short, shooting a 21 to Luke's winning round of 16 and Jennifer's 18.

Thomas has suggested that we do a mini-tour of the free municipal miniature golf courses in France. It does sound like fun.

My brother Christopher spotted a minigolf course in Lac de la Cavayère on his travels last year. That course is only open in July and August!

Before moving to France Thomas had a stamp and postcard shop in Letchworth Garden City where I found many brilliant minigolf postcards for my collection.

Crazy Goats!

During the off-season goats are kept on the course to keep the growth down over the winter. The course is the site of a holiday camp on the shores of a lake that opens for the summer.

Before moving to France Thomas had a stamp and postcard shop in Letchworth Garden City where I found many marvellous minigolf postcards for my collection.

Plonk Golf at the Stables Market in Camden

On our recent trip to London we swung by the new Plonk Golf indoor Crazy Golf course at the Stables Market in Camden.

The first Plonk Golf course played on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour was the pop-up at Efes Snooker Club in Dalston back in April 2015. Since then the team at Plonk Golf have opened a number of other pop-ups, as well as some permanent courses.

Plonk Golf Camden was the 861st course visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour since September 2006.

Currently you can play Plonk Golf in Shoreditch, Peckham Levels, Camden Market, Islington, Hackney, London Fields and Battersea. There are also new layouts opening soon in Hoxton and Forest Hill.

Plonk Golf in Shoreditch

A visit to the new Plonk Golf course in Shoreditch, London.

While down in London I swung by the new Plonk Golf indoor Crazy Golf course in Shoreditch.

The venue is nicely hidden in plain sight on Bethnal Green Road.

I walked past the graffiti covered entrance once while looking for the venue!
