There will be a pop-up mini golf course at Worthing Winter Fest this Sunday.

Globetrotters Golf will have a pop-up mini golf course at the Worthing Winter Fest event at Montague Place this Sunday, 22nd December.

Miniature Golf in Denton Gardens, Worthing through the years

Denton Gardens in Worthing, West Sussex has been home to miniature golf for 100 years.

Minigolf was first played in Denton Gardens on Tuesday 1st July 1924.

The gardens next to the seafront are now home to the 18-hole Splash Point Mini Golf course.

The 18-hole Splash Point Mini Golf course was the 181st played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in 2010 and we've returned several times since that first visit. It's one of my favourite courses to play as it's areal test of putting skill and a unique set of holes and obstacles to tackle.

A look at the Splash Point Mini Golf course in Worthing's Denton Gardens.

I swung by Splash Point Mini Golf on my recent trip to Worthing, West Sussex.

I swung by the Putting course at Marine Gardens in Worthing on my recent trip to the seaside town.

We first visited the course on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour back in 2010.

It was absolutely amazing to see The A-Team van while out on a stroll on Worthing seafront at the weekend.

I spotted it cruising down the seafront (see the last pic) and actually managed to track it down better than Colonel Decker ever could.

Denton Gardens in Worthing, West Sussex is 100 years old today. There has been minigolf of one kind or another there for many of those years.

Splash Point Mini Golf at Denton Gardens in Worthing

A look at the Splash Point Mini Golf course in Worthing's Denton Gardens.

We last got to visit and play at Splash Point Mini Golf in Denton Gardens, Worthing in April 2019. It's one of the best courses in the country and a favourite of ours to play.

The unique 18-hole layout has a range of challenging holes to play and we've enjoyed playing official tournaments and 'fun' competitions between ourselves there over the years.

It'll be ace to be able to get down for another game there again soon.

Minigolf has been played in Denton Gardens since 1924 and the excellent 18-hole Splash Point Mini Golf course opened in 2010 and has proved popular with locals, holidaymakers, day trippers and professional minigolfers ever since.

Revisiting the crazy golf course in Worthing's Denton Gardens.

Last April we revisited the brilliant Splash Point Mini Golf course at Denton Gardens in Worthing.

A revisit to the Splash Point Mini Golf course in Worthing's Denton Gardens.

A year ago we'd just got back home from a brilliant weekend away down on the south coast. We stayed in sunny Worthing and of course had to have a game at the excellent Splash Point Mini Golf at Denton Gardens.

The hardest hole on the course

As we were up early we were the first to play the course that day. Marvellous.

In 2010 the 18-hole course in became the 181st course visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. At this time last year we'd been to 862 courses. We've now visited 948 courses since September 2006.

It hasn't changed too much over the years and is a nice spot to visit if you're in Worthing.

Earlier this week I found a very nice old postcard showing the Putting Green in Denton Park in Worthing. The card was never posted and is undated.

Minigolf was first played in Denton Gardens on Tuesday 1st July 1924. Since 2010 the area has been home to the excellent Splash Point Mini Golf course.

The first minigolf courses in Denton Gardens were of the grass Putting variety, when both sides of the lawn in the gardens were given over to miniature golf Putting courses.

I've got a few other postcards showing the Putting Green in Denton Gardens, but this is the first one I've got showing this particular angle of the course.

The 2019 Worthing Open minigolf tournament

The Worthing Open miniature golf competition is taking place on Saturday 6th July.

This Saturday evening the Splash Point Mini Golf course in Denton Gardens, Worthing is hosting the 2019 Worthing Open minigolf competition.

The three round strokeplay format event presented by the Worthing Mini Golf Club tees-off at 5pm.

Entry is open to all. Sign-up is required by 3pm on the day.

Minigolf was first played in Denton Gardens on Tuesday 1st July 1924!

95 years later and the relatively new course there is going strong and is popular with locals, tourists, enthusiasts and the characters of the British Minigolf Association tour.
