A look at the former Odeon Cinema in Chorley, Lancashire.

The Art Deco building opened in February 1938.

This was how it looked in August 2020 when it had most recently been a Buzz Bingo.

The business (and building) never re-opened after the Coronavirus pandemic.

Sadly the building was demolished and there is now a car park where it once stood.

Buzz Bingo permanently closed in 2025.

The building had been a bingo hall since the 1970s.

After its life as a cinema it became a Mecca Bingo Hall until it closed in 2022.

New Crazy Golf planned for Carlisle

There are plans for a new Crazy Golf course at Botchergate in Carlisle.

The new indoor Crazy Golf course would be located in a former bingo venue in the city.

The location would also be home to other activities such as darts and tenpin bowling.

It opened as the Savoy Cinema in 1937, but closed in 1970. It then operated as the Regent Bingo Club until a fire in May 2021.

Bingo in Stockport

We had a great night out at the Bingo last night. It was my first game since playing at Pontin's Prestatyn in 2014.

I was interested to see the advances in what is essentially a simple game along with the introduction of electronic gaming tablets. Gala Bingo is certainly a slick operation.

I used to love playing Bingo as a kid with my Grandma. Emily and I used to be members at Gala when we were students too.

It's always nice having a game at classic seafront Amusement Arcade Bingo when we see them as well.

The Stockport venue was really big and colourful, with friendly staff. We're looking forward to returning for another few games soon. Next time I might play classic-style with paper tickets and a big dabber.

Blackpool's Bingo Clown Inflatable

While in Blackpool we spotted another piece of inflatable advertising for the 'collection'...

Except for the fact it's not a wacky waving type of inflatable arm flailing tube man, this one has it all. A BIG clown advertising bingo at the seaside! Marvellous.

On our travels we've spotted quite a few airdancer advertising inflatables, ranging from the wacky waving ones, to more static characters and mascots.
