On Sunday 11th July 2010 we headed to Upminster on our way home from Southend on Sea.
We had heard from London Minigolf Club member (and St George's Day Classic Champion) Gareth Holmes that there was a 9-hole Miniature Golf / Crazy Golf course on Hall Lane - he had played there last summer.
However, the course was most definitely closed on our visit (and by the looks of it, and the sign on the gate, it had been for some time).

What started as an exploration of the minigolf courses in the UK and around the world has exploded into all areas of the weird, wonderful and especially the unique. Sharing the great (and not so great) things we find, learn about and appreciate as we go!

I tweeted about this Crazy World of Minigolf Tour visit to Upminster's Hall Lane and @UpminsterNews (http://upminster.posterous.com/) picked up on it. They also found out that the Pitch & Putt will be re-opening soon - there was a story about it in the Yellow Advertiser on the 1st July 2010. Hopefully the Miniature Golf part of the Pitch & Putt will re-open too.
Many thanks to Upminster News for the info.

Sad to hear that the Pitch & Putt Miniature Golf course and Crazy Golf at Hall Lane in Upminster, Essex will soon be removed to make way for housing.
