Swing by Golfbaren minigolf in Stockholm, Sweden

Looking back at our visit to Swing by Golfbaren in Stockholm, Sweden.

We visited Swing by Golfbaren in Stockholm, Sweden back in February 2018 to celebrate the first birthday of the course. It doesn't seem like that long ago! It's a superb venue and still going strong. If you're in Stockport it's well worth a visit.

The indoor minigolf course and speakeasy was the landmark 800th course visited overall on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour and our 31st overseas.

The course has a 1920's theme and is a truly unique layout.

There's an 'upstairs' 12-holes open for all to play, while hidden 'downstairs' are a further 6-holes which can be booked for private events.

A look at the minigolf course at O'Leary's bar & entertainment centre at the Mall of Scandinavia in Solna.

We visited our 801st minigolf course and 32nd overseas at O'Leary's bar and entertainment centre at the Mall of Scandinavia in Solna, Stockholm during a whirlwind trip to Sweden back in February 2018.

Hole 12 of the sport (and jungle!) themed course was Gridiron themed

The Sports World Minigolf course was a 14-hole indoor layout with a selection of fun themed holes.

We had a short break in Sweden in February 2018 and managed to visit nine miniature golf courses in the 42 hours we had there.

One of those courses was the Swedish Felt minigolf course at the Vasaparken in Vasastan, Stockholm.

It became the 802nd course visited overall on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour, and the 33rd we'd been to overseas.

It's a nice looking Swedish Felt minigolf course, but was unplayable because of the snowy conditions at the time of our visit.

7-Eleven convenience stores celebrate National 7-Eleven Day on when else but the 11th July.

We were surprised to see a number of 7-Eleven stores in Stockholm on our last trip there in 2018. We'd only ever seen them in the USA before that

The first 7-Eleven Day was held in 2002.

Happy birthday to the Golfbaren minigolf courses in Sweden

Golfbaren Kristineberg and Golfbaren Aspudden celebrated their birthdays this week.

Golfbaren Kristineberg opened seven years ago yesterday, while Golfbaren Aspudden opened on the same day three years ago.

We visited Golfbaren Kristineberg and Golfbaren Aspudden during our long weekend in Stockholm to help celebrate Swing By Golfbaren's first birthday in February 2018.

Golfbaren Kristineberg was the 803rd course we visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. Golfbaren Aspudden in Hägersten was the 804th.

The Golfbaren courses are owned by our friend, minigolf rival and legend of the game Hans Olofsson. As well as Golfbaren Kristineberg and Golfbaren Aspudden you can also play outdoors at the new Golfbaren Jungfrusund course.

Our trip to Sweden in 2018 was the second time we'd been there to play minigolf. The first was in June 2011 when we were in Stockholm playing for Great Britain in the WMF Nations Cup tournament.
