I was part of the team supporting and promoting my brother Christopher's business - Outdoor Professional Products - at The National Outdoor Expo held at The NEC in Birmingham last weekend.

All set for the big show

Our stand was part retail store / part inflatable axe throwing game and saw thousands of visitors and customers over the big two-day event!

Outdoor Professional Products has been sourcing cutting-edge products for outdoor professionals since 2009. The business is based in Wymondham, Norfolk and supplies customers locally, and online nationwide.

The National Outdoor Expo is one of the biggest community meet-ups of the year, celebrating the enjoyment of the outdoors all under one roof.

Today is International Axe Throwing Day aka World Axe Throwing Day.

International Axe Throwing Day aka World Axe Throwing Day is observed annually on the 13th June.

How apt that this year International Axe Throwing Day is on FRIDAY THE 13TH of June!

Axe Throwing at The No Work Club in Lincoln

Last summer we met our friends Laura and Martin in Lincoln and booked in to do some Axe Throwing for the first time. That was at The No Work Club. The venue also has an indoor Crazy Golf course.

You can often find minigolf and axe throwing at the same location. As competitive socialising venues have boomed in popularity new places are opening and offering a range of games and activities.

There's axe throwing and an outdoor adventure golf course at the Go Wild centre in Haverhill, Suffolk. I swung by there last year too.

I've also had a go at an Axe Throwing arcade game!

International Axe Throwing Day was established by the World Axe Throwing League (WATL).

Adventure Golf at Go Wild Axe & Golf (Wild Blades) in Haverhill

There's an outdoor Adventure Golf course at the Go Wild centre in Haverhill, Suffolk.

The location is home to both Axe Throwing and Adventure Golf activities.

There are four Go Wild locations in Windermere, Haverhill, Bury St Edmunds and Hartlepool. Adventure Golf is available at the Haverhill and Hartlepool locations where you'll find the 12-hole lumberjack themed courses.

New Crazy Golf course in Dover

Nexgen Crazy Golf Dover is opening on Saturday 19th October.

The Nexgen Crazy Golf Dover venue in Dover, Kent is home to an indoor Crazy Golf course, axe throwing and arcade games.

We recently met some friends in Lincoln and booked in to do some Axe Throwing for the first time. The venue was also home to what was at the time called Urban Putters indoor crazy golf.

The Crazy Golf course in Lincoln was the 1,056th visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

The venue was home to an escape room (Escape Lincoln), axe throwing (Axed) and crazy golf (Urban Putters)
