We revisited the Alpine Adventure Golf course at the Llandudno Ski and Snowboard Centre on the Great Orme in Llandudno, Wales in August 2018. We'd originally visited and played the course during our road-trip around the Welsh coast in August 2009.

Crazy Golf at Rowley Park Sports Stadium in Stafford

A look back at a visit to the crazy golf course at Rowley Park Sports Stadium in Stafford.

The 778th course we visited overall on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour, and the 750th course we visited in the UK, was the 9-hole crazy golf course at Rowley Park Sports Stadium in Stafford in September 2017.

The course was an 'Eternit' type of Miniature Golf layout.

20 for 20 - Minigolf in Felixstowe

20 for 20: 20 years of our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

This month we're celebrating two decades of our crazy minigolfing adventures.

We first visited Felixstowe in Suffolk on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in November 2006 - and we've been back many many many times since.

We've played a lot of minigolf, crazy golf and adventure golf there. And some grass putting.

While minigolf has been a constant in the seaside town for decades, the actual courses themselves have seen changes over the years.

We've played minigolf at Manning's Amusements in Felixstowe a lot over the years. The first time we played there was back on the 19th November 2006 when it became the fifth course we ever visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. It was also the first indoor minigolf course we played.

Back then it was one of only two indoor minigolf courses in the whole of the UK! The other was at The Windmill Theatre in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk and is still there too.

There are now a lot more indoor minigolf venues than there were back in the mid-noughties.

The Golf FX course at Manning's Amusements was a brilliant layout, with lots of optical illusions and practical effects. It was a unique course and ahead of its time with its sound and light effects. 20 years later and over a thousand courses later, very few we have been to have come close to capturing the fun of it.

Since our first visit to Manning's Amusements the course had a several upgrades, refurbishments and name changes - it was called 'Golf FX' when we first played and has been known as 'Magical Golf', 'Magical Golf FX' and 'Harry Putter and the Magical Crazy Golf'. Until the course finally closed and reopened as a new indoor Street Golf course in 2025.

5 Star Crazy Golf in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire

A look back at the 5 Star Crazy Golf course at Bainland Country Park in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire.

We played our first, and to date only, '5 Star Crazy Golf' course at Bainland Country Park in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour back in May 2011.

As the course has 5 cups to putt into on each 'green' I was able to score a 'Perfect Round' of minigolf - shooting a Hole-in-One on each of the 9-holes!

We also had a game on the grass Putting miniature golf course while there.

Looking online, the site is now known as Bainland Lodge Retreats and no longer has a crazy golf course.
