Trailer Trash Jim's Crazy Golf at Level Preston

A visit to Trailer Trash Jim's Crazy Golf course at Level Preston.

Trailer Trash Jim's Crazy Golf course at Level Preston

Following the Delightfully Dull, Brilliantly Boring Evening in Preston last May I visited the 816th course on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour when I swung by the indoor Crazy Golf course at Level Preston.

The course has nods to local heritage, such as this hole themed on Bond's ice cream parlour

It's a fantastic venue packed full of fun activities including tenpin bowling, darts, shuffleboard, arcade games, laser tag and more.

The bar area looks fun too

We're looking forward to a return visit to Preston to spend more time at Level.

Happy Birthday Pac-Man

Today is Pac-Man's 38th birthday!

Pac-Man was originally launched in Japan on the 22nd May 1980. His first appearance in the USA was on the 10th October.

The last place I saw Pac-Man was at Level in Preston while visiting the new Crazy Golf course there

I'm a big fan of Pac-Man and have seen him (and some of his clones) a fair bit on my travels.

Check out all the other Pac-Man related blog posts on the Ham & Egger Files. I think Credit Cruncher in Bristol is my favourite bootleg Pac-Man shop sign.

Munch Mart in Ipswich

We spotted what looked like Pac-Man on a shop sign while driving along Nacton Road in Ipswich last weekend! We had to stop to get a snap of it.

The Cereal Killer Cafe in Birmingham

While on a recent trip to Birmingham I spotted the Cereal Killer Cafe on the link between New Street Station and the Bull Ring shopping centre!

The Cereal Killer Cafe just before it opened for breakfast

It's full of great retro items from the 80's and 90's.

While I couldn't eat any of the (gluten-full) breakfast cereals, I could buy some of the great merch there

And there's a Simpsons arcade cabinet at the cafe - it's a classic game and one I've been playing since 1992!

I've been trying to complete the game for 25 years and I finally achieved it at the Cereal Killer Cafe (thanks to the Free Play)

Check out the Cereal Killer Cafe website for more info.

Pac-Man video game graffiti in Tamworth
We were recently in Tamworth - to play the new Castle Adventure Golf course at Namco Funscape - and noticed this giant piece of video game graffiti on a legal graffiti wall on an underpass!
