We'd previously swung by Boom: Battle Bar in Ipswich back in 2022 when it became the 1,009th course visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. On our most recent return trip to the town we had time for a game.

In our minigolf match I scored the win with a round of 13 shots (including 5 holes-in-one!) to Emily's round of 19

We've previously played the Crazier Golf course at Boom: Battle Bar in the Castle Quarter shopping and entertainment centre in Norwich, Norfolk. That location was the first Boom: Battle Bar venue to open. We played that course in August 2021.

The Boom: Battle Bar Crazier Golf course in Norwich was the landmark 1,000th course visited by Richard, Emily & Christopher Gottfried on the combined Crazy World of Minigolf Tour! We're now up to 1,132 courses visited since September 2006.

We recently found out that the Orbis restaurant in Stamford, Lincolnshire is 100% gluten free.

Playing at Sneaky Links Crazy Golf in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

We recently played the Sneaky Links Crazy Golf course in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

We met up with our friends Lucy and Paul in Bury St Edmunds last Saturday evening and played a round at Sneaky Links Crazy Golf on Brentgovel Street in the town.

Emily and I have both previously swung by Sneaky Links Crazy Golf but either haven't had time, or weren't there when it was open, so this was the first chance we'd had for a game.

Yes, this is crazy golf!

Sneaky Links Crazy Golf was the 1,055th course visited overall on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour, and the landmark 1,000th we've been to in the British Isles! It was the 582nd course we've played.

It's a unique indoor 9-hole crazy golf course and the layout is very tricky and frustrating in places!

Our fun - and very competitive - minigolf match had some ups and downs for each player and it was Paul 'The Challenger' English who emerged as the victor with a round of 24 shots over the 9-holes.

Emily and I tied for the runner-up spot having both scored 26 - I was happy with that after a disastrous 7 scored on hole 1!

Lucy 'The Blocker' Newton started her game the complete opposite of me, with an excellent hole-in-one on the first and ended with a round of 35.

Today is National VCR Day!

Do you still own or use a Video Cassette Recorder? I do.

There are still some great and rare films and programmes that can only be seen on video tapes these days, so I'm glad we've still got our TV/Video combination set. As well as a few standalone players.

Over the last year several years I've been documenting the remains of Blockbuster Video stores - and other video shops - in the UK.

There are still some video shops trading today! As well as some retro and nostalgia locations such as bars, speakeasies and shops that are a throwback to those halcyon days of the 1980s and 1990s video shop experience.

During our road trip around the South West of England in 2015 we spotted the Crazy Golf and Pitch & Putt courses in Mawgan Porth, Cornwall. The next planned stop after visiting Newquay was Padstow, but we found these bonus minigolf courses en route!

Unfortunately the parking in Mawgan Porth wasn't ideal so we were unable to give the courses a play on that trip.

The courses were the 48th and 49th visited on our trip around the South West of England and the 647th and 648th visited overall on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

It did look like a nice spot for a few rounds of miniature golf

My brother Christopher and his family recently returned from a Landal Holiday Park in the Netherlands where they played the minigolf course.

Looking on the Landal website they have a very handy filter when searching for parks, and one of the options on the 'Active and leisure' menu is 'Mini-golf course'. Clicking this shows there are minigolf courses at nine of Landal's 24 holiday parks in the UK.

Christopher and his family stated at Landal Het Vennenbos in the Netherlands - one of 78 Landal holiday parks there. Of those 78 parks, 38 of them have minigolf courses.
