Looking back through our photo archive I noticed this interesting sign on a minigolf course we played back in May 2009.

WHEN PUTTING MAKE SURE NOBODY IS NEAR YOU

The 9-hole Swedish Felt Mini Golf course was at Blake End Craft Centre, near Braintree, Essex. It was the 95th course visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. We've now been to 948 since September 2006.

Mini Golf in Dovercourt, Essex

A look at the miniature golf courses in Dovercourt.

We visited Dovercourt in Essex way back in May 2009. There we found a 6-hole Swedish Felt Mini Golf course and a Putting Green on the seafront on Low Road.

We recently asked where this course was on our Facebook Page and had some interesting guesses and only one correct answer.

The Mini Golf course was the 92nd played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. We've now been to 948 courses since September 2006.

Since our visit over a decade ago another Crazy Golf course has been added to the site. You can now play Crazy Golf, Putting, Croquet and Petanque there.

Our visit to Dovercourt was part of a Suffolk, Essex and Hertfordshire minigolfing roadtrip which saw us visit courses at Stonham Barns, Felixstowe, Clacton-on-Sea, Blake End near Braintree and Hemel Hempstead.

Moby Golf in Romford, Essex

A look at the Moby Adventure Golf course at Golf Kingdom in Romford.

On 6th June 2014 we played Moby Golf adventure golf course at Golf Kingdom in Romford.

The 18-hole adventure golf course was the 561st visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. We've now been to 948 courses since 2006.

The inspiration behind the course is the legend of 'Moby Dick' - a whale that washed up nearby in Dagenham back in 1790!

The Moby Golf course is located Golf Kingdom and depending on who you ask is located in Romford, Chadwell Heath, Hainault, London and Essex!

For reference and ease of locating it the postcode for the course is RM6 6SB.

Failing that just look out for the GIANT whale and MASSIVE pirate ship by the main road.

New minigolf at the Northern Gateway leisure site in Colchester

A new Puttstars minigolf course is planned to open at the Northern Gateway leisure site in Colchester, Essex.

Hollywood Bowl are opening a Puttstars indoor minigolf course and a tenpin bowling centre at the site.

The Northern Gateway leisure area will also be home to a cinema and a sports park.

It is scheduled to open in mid-2022.

Puttstars is a new concept from the Hollywood Bowl Group and their first site at the Rochdale Riverside development in Greater Manchester will feature three 9-hole minigolf courses. Further Puttstars locations are planned for York and Leeds.

Take a close look for the missing letters.

It reminded me of the 'recycling drive' in Luton a few years ago.

Putt in the Park Colchester opening this week

The new Putt in the Park adventure golf course at Castle Park in Colchester is opening this week.

The new 14-hole Putt in the Park minigolf course at Castle Park in Colchester, Essex will be opening this Wednesday, 28th August.

The new adventure golf course course in Colchester has been built by the team at Putt in the Park. We've played their courses in Wandsworth and Battersea in London on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. They also have a course in Acton we've yet to get along to.

New Adventure Golf course in Southend on Sea

Garon Castle Adventures adventure golf course now open in Southend on Sea, Essex.

Many thanks to my Aunty Carol for letting me know that a new Adventure Golf course has opened in Southend on Sea.

The 18-hole Garon Castle Adventures course can be found at Garon Park Golf Complex.

New Caddies Crazy Golf courses heading to Derby and Norwich

Two new Caddies Crazy Golf venues are opening soon in Derby and Norwich.

The indoor Crazy Golf boom is continuing as Caddies Crazy Golf will soon be opening up two new venues in Derby and Norwich.

Some of my cousins recently played at Caddies Crazy Golf in Southend-on-Sea and my cousin Claire sent me some snaps of the course.

Caddies Crazy Golf in Southend is home to two 9-hole indoor minigolf courses with a retro 70's theme. As well as the Crazy Golf, Caddies also has a bar and restaurant.

New Mr Mulligans Adventure Golf course opening in Basildon

A new Mr Mulligans Adventure Golf venue is opening at Festival Leisure Park in Basildon, Essex.

The latest Mr Mulligans indoor Adventure Golf centre is opening at Festival Leisure Park in Basildon, Essex this spring.

The new location will be the thirteenth Mr Mulligans venue and will feature two indoor Crazy Golf courses as well as a bar and restaurant.

We've played a number of the Mr Mulligans Adventure Golf courses, most recently at the Space Golf course in Newcastle. Those three layouts were the 841st, 842nd and 843rd visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Glo Crazy indoor Crazy Golf in Harlow, Essex

A look at the indoor Crazy Golf course in Harlow, Essex.

New Puttshack minigolf course opening at Lakeside Shopping Centre this spring

New Puttshack indoor high-tech minigolf venue opening at Lakeside Shopping Centre this spring.

The second Puttshack venue is set to open this Spring and will be located at the Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex.

I swung by Puttshack at Westfield London last December. The course is a new concept in miniature golf and features four 9-hole indoor minigolf courses featuring new technology to show real-time leader-boards, video highlights and interactive holes.

Puttshack is a joint venture between ping pong venue Bounce and TopGolf. The team at Puttshack have plans for a third venue to be located in the city of London.

BCK YRD GOLF indoor Crazy Golf opening in Chelmsford

A new indoor Crazy Golf venue is opening in Chelmsford, Essex.

Two new indoor Crazy Golf courses are currently being built at BCK YRD GOLF in Chelmsford city centre and will be open to play in May this year.

Caddies Crazy Golf course opened in Southend-on-Sea shortly after our last visit to the town. We're looking forward to checking it out on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour - we've played the other minigolf courses in Southend a LOT over the years.

Glo Crazy in Harlow, Essex

We recently heard there's an indoor Crazy Golf course in Harlow, Essex.

The 12-hole UV glow in the dark Crazy Golf course is called Glo Crazy and can be found at the Q Entertainment centre in the town.

It's another course we'll have to visit on our never-ending quest to visit every minigolf course in the UK. When we began in 2006 there were 600 courses. To date we've visited 853, including 38 courses overseas.

New Adventure Golf course on Clacton Pier

Skull Point Adventure Golf has opened on Clacton Pier in Essex.

Looking on the Clacton Pier website it claims to be "The most unique All Weather 18 Hole Adventure Golf in the Country." Blimey!

We're looking forward to visiting the new Skull Point Adventure Golf course on our next visit to the seaside resort.

We've actually played minigolf on Clacton Pier before. Back in 2011 there was an Adventure Golf course set-up for the season. It became the 217th played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. We're now up to 823 course visits.

Clacton Pier has one of the best postal addresses I've seen. It can be found at No.1 North Sea, Clacton-on-Sea, Essex CO15 1QX, UK!

Crazy Golf at Hall Lane in Upminster

A look back at the Crazy Golf course at Hall Lane in Upminster.

My mate and minigolf rival Brad 'The Fist' Shepherd recently sent me over these pics of the Crazy Golf at Hall Lane in Upminster, Essex from his archive. They were taken a couple of years ago and before the 2017 refurbishment of the course.

Check out what the Hall Lane Crazy Golf course looks like now on the Upminster & Cranham Residents' Association website. Very smart and clean.

The course was never open on my previous visits back in 2010 and 2012 on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Caddies Crazy Golf and Restaurant in Southend

There's a new indoor Crazy Golf course opening in Southend next month.

The venue will feature two Crazy Golf courses and a range of food and drink including BBQ, craft burgers, vegan dishes and desserts.

New Mighty Claws Adventure Golf course at Playgolf Colchester

The team at Mighty Claws Adventure Golf are almost ready for play to tee-off at their new second site and storyline in Colchester - A Roman Ruckus!

The new dinosaur adventure golf course, Mighty Claws Adventures: a Roman Ruckus is set to open in Colchester in mid April, featuring state-of-the-art, animatronic large scale dinosaurs, a thundering waterfall and an ancient Roman fortress.

The brand is the brainchild of Allan Saud, and the interactive, 18-hole Mighty Claws Adventure Golf course is an immersive play environment, adapted from the children's story book series 'Mighty Claws Adventures' by Nat Luurtsema.

The first Mighty Claws Adventure Golf course opened at Playgolf Bournemouth last Spring. The courses feature giant dinosaurs including Troodon, Ankylosaurus, Stegosaurus and Parasaurolophus as well as a small herd of Velociraptors and big, intimidating T-Rex.

This time players find themselves in an exciting Roman adventure - appropriate for such a centre of Roman history as Colchester.

The 18-hole Mighty Claws Adventure Golf course will be open from 10am until dusk, seven days a week at Playgolf Colchester.

We're looking forward to playing the course on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. We've been to Colchester quite a few times and visited the minigolf courses in the town's Castle Park and Gardens. Sadly we've never played a single shot there as the courses were never open when we swung by.

This was one of the minigolf courses we visited in Colchester. We never once saw it open to play. It was removed in 2015

New Adventure Golf course heading to Clacton Pier

Clacton Pier in Essex is going to be getting a new indoor and outdoor Adventure Golf course as part of a £4m revamp!

Back in May 2011 we played a temporary minigolf course on Clacton Pier - it became the 217th played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

We love playing minigolf at the seaside and it's brilliant if the course is out to sea too!

The seaside town has a number of minigolf, crazy golf and adventure golf courses so it's ideal for a day trip or staycation.

We're looking forward to a return trip to play the new course on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.
