The Masters Crazy Golf in Southport

A visit to the Crazy Golf course at King's Gardens in Southport.

Back in 2009 the 18-hole Arnold Palmer Putting Course at King's Gardens in Southport became the 150th course played on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

We revisited the course in October this year, and as Southport is now relatively local to us we went along for another look while we were in the seaside town to see Roger Moore at the theatre last month.

Our third visit to Southport and The Masters Crazee Golf course

The Masters Crazee Putting is a great looking course. It's bright, colourful, full of tricky obstacles and when open proves very popular.

We're looking forward to a game on the course next summer.

Pirate Adventure Golf in Ryde

Revisiting the Pirate Adventure Golf course in Ryde.

The first minigolf course visited on our trip to the Isle of Wight in October was the Adventure Golf course at Peter Pan's Funfair and Amusements on the Esplanade in Ryde. As we were on the isle slightly out of season we weren't expecting all of the courses to be open for a game.

A BIG minigolf skull. And Mr Bump

We also weren't expecting to see the course quite as flooded as it was! We'd clearly escaped being thoroughly drenched while on the hovercraft over from Southsea.

The course still looks to be in great condition

The Pirate Adventure Golf course in Ryde was the 68th course visited and played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour back in 2009.

Happy National Christmas Tree Day 2016!

A visit to Christmas Tree World in Cheadle Hulme.

To mark the occasion we popped round Christmas Tree World at Lion House Farm in Cheadle Hulme to buy our first real Christmas tree. Marvellous.

The perfect sized tree for our new place. Great service at Christmas Tree World too. And you get to see ducks, geese and chickens on the ponds next to the trees

The end of Felixstowe Pier...and the new one

Taking a look at the building of the new pier in Felixstowe.

Last weekend we visited the seaside town of Felixstowe in Suffolk. It's probably our most visited seaside as we take a trip there pretty much every time we go back to Ipswich to visit friends and family. On this occasion we had a look at the pier as it's undergoing a great deal of redevelopment!

On our visit last year we walked UNDER the pier for the first time and saw this ominous message!

The End is Coming

The new pier is scheduled to reopen in August 2017. It'll be interesting to see how it differs to the old one.

A beachy bench

Looking through our photo archives for a blog post about Felixstowe Pier I noticed this great snap of a bench that had been somewhat swamped by the beach.
