A new Safari Adventure Golf course is opening at Lyons Winkups Holiday Park in Towyn.

The new safari adventure golf course is planned to open in time for Easter this year.

We've played the Pirate Island Adventure Golf course at Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Camp in Rhyl. It was one of the best courses I've played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

New Crazy Golf course in Towyn

A new Crazy Golf course is opening in Towyn, North Wales.

The 12-hole Crazy Golf course is located at the Old School House on Towyn Road.

The outdoor Crazy Golf course will have a castle-theme to it.

We've played Crazy Golf in Towyn before - sadly that course was turned into a car park a few years ago!

It'll be nice to swing by Towyn again on our next visit to the North Wales coast.

New Crazy Golf course in Towyn, Wales

There are plans for a new Crazy Golf course to open in Towyn, Wales.

The minigolf layout is part of activity to also add an escape room to the youth centre on Towyn Road in Towyn.

We've played minigolf in Towyn on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour before.

There used to be a Crazy Golf course at Knightly's on Sandbank Road. We found the course in 2009, but when we returned in 2017 it had been removed and the area turned into a car park.

Back in August 2009 we embarked on a BIG minigolf road-trip around the coast of Wales and while en route to Rhyl we swung by Knightly's Amusement Park in Towyn where we unexpectedly found a Crazy Golf course next to a car park.

Fast forward to September 2017 and we were once again heading along the North Wales coast and had the chance to visit Towyn. This time the large sign at the junction listed 'Mini Golf' on it, however when we had a look the great little Crazy Golf course we'd played in 2009 had been turned into a car park!

Playing Minigolf in the towns of Tywyn and Towyn in Wales

Visits to the Welsh towns of Tywyn and Towyn on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

A recent BBC news report told how a sat-nav mistake saw a driver take a school bus 80 miles in the wrong direction ending up in Towyn rather than Tywyn!

On our roadtrip of Wales in 2009 we managed to visit 43 Miniature Golf courses and play 28 of them. We also managed to play Crazy Golf in both Tywyn and Towyn.

The 138th course was a 15-hole Crazy Golf course at Tywyn Leisure Park on Marine Parade in Tywyn. The Leisure Park was an excellent set-up and there was also Bowls, Tennis, Skittles and a Putting Course to play. We only had time on our visit to play the Crazy Golf and the Skittles. It’s well worth a visit.

On the road to Rhyl we found what would be the 144th course played. The 9-hole Crazy Golf course at Knightly's Amusements and Fun Park on Sandbank Road was a surprise as we hadn’t planned to visit the town of Towyn. We had spotted a sign advertising Knightly’s and decided to have a look. We were glad we did as it was a bustling street full of seaside fun!

Both Tywyn and Towyn are well worth a visit, whether you find yourself in the wrong place or not I'm sure you'll find plenty to do.

Jobbing to Arm Champs - the original Arm Wrestling Arcade Game

While in Towyn I spotted an original Arm Champs arm wrestling arcade game and couldn't resist having a go, despite my previous failures in Great Yarmouth in 2007 and May 2009.

You can see how I got on this time in the video below.

Minigolf Course Visit No. 144 - Knightly's Crazy Golf, Towyn

On our way from Llandudno to Rhyl on the penultimate day of our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour visit to Wales we passed through the town of Towyn. At the traffic lights we saw a sign advertising Knightly's Amusements and Fun Park on Sandbank Road and went to have a look.

To our surprise we found that next to the main car park at the bottom of Sandbank Road was a great little 9-hole Crazy Golf course.

As it was so much fun we had two plays on the course. In the first round Emily and I had scored 17(-1) and 18(-2) respectively, and thought we could better the scores with another game.

In round two Emily scored 17(-1) and I scored a 15(-3), but was left to think 'what might have been?' after notching up six holes-in-one and three threes!











Before we went to Towyn we had stopped off at Colwyn Bay's Eirias Park as we had heard there was a Minigolf or Crazy Golf course there. We found it no longer exists.
