Visiting the 699th course on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.
On Saturday 10th September we visited the 12-hole Crazy Golf course at the Pier Head in Liverpool.
It became the 699th miniature golf course visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour since we began our travels on the 30th September 2006.
At course number 699
It's a fun layout - made tricky by the use of regular bouncy golf balls - and had some interesting obstacles.
An interesting place to park a London bus
It was similar in style to the courses we've played in Brockhole and Torquay. And a bit like the course in Ayr as decking had been used for some of the holes.
The course became the 410th played overall and at £3 per player it was a good price for some fun minigolf.
Now we roll on to the 700th course. Who knows where it'll be!
Playing two miniature golf courses at the Liverpool Golf Centre.
On Saturday 10th September we headed to Liverpool and the Liverpool Golf Centre & Driving Range where we added two more courses to our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.
The 9-hole short game Putting course and 9-hole Mini Golf layout were great fun and a good challenge.
The Putting Green was the first course we played on the visit and became the 697th and 407th course played since our travels began in September 2006.
I enjoyed hitting two holes-in-one during our round. Always pleasing on a Putting course.
The Mini Golf course is a real challenge of Putting skill as the holes were borderless.
We received a nice welcome from the golf pro on the till when we arrived and enjoyed a couple of rounds on the two courses.
The Liverpool Golf Centre has a great weather vane
I recently noticed that Jungle Rumble Adventure Golf has recently created a blog. You can check it out at "Jungle Rumble THE BLOG"
There are two Jungle Rumble Adventure Golf sites, each containing two 18-hole indoor miniature golf courses. One is in Bristol at the Cabot Circus Shopping Centre. When Emily and I visited the courses back in February 2010 they became the 161st and 162nd played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. We were in Bristol preparing for the British Minigolf Association's BMGA English Open tournament that was taking place at Jungle Rumble.
For details of other minigolf blogs (and links to other websites of interest) please check out the 'links' on the right hand side of the Ham & Egger Files web page.
While in Liverpool for the BMGA National Open minigolf tournament last weekend, we were going to head to the Harrow Drive Playing Fields in Aintree to check out the Crazy Golf course there.
However, a quick Google search before we set off to find it showed that the course had been dug up ready to be replaced as part of a 'Playbuilder' scheme to improve the recreation facilities in the park.
However, further searching found out that this scheme has since been cancelled due to the withdrawal of government funding! Meaning the Park has removed the Crazy Golf and is left with a patch of bare ground :-(
On Friday 18th March 2011 we played two new courses on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour, as we headed to Liverpool and the brand new two-course Jungle Rumble Indoor Adventure Golf course, at the city's Liverpool ONE Shopping Centre.
