A big thanks to our friend, team-mate and minigolf rival Peter Jones for sending over these photos of the Arnold Palmer Minigolf Course at the Haven Caister-on-Sea Holiday Park in Norfolk.

It's one of the few remaining Arnold Palmer Putting Courses in the UK.

While the course has had some new obstacles added and fresh felt it is still easily recognisable as an Arnold Palmer Putting Course and appears to be in excellent condition.

Arnold Palmer Putting Courses

The Arnold Palmer branded miniature golf courses were part of the Arnold Palmer Enterprises empire set-up in 1961 that saw the legendary golfer's name licensed and franchised to a wide-range of activities and products including Dry Cleaning centres and an Arnold Palmer brand foot detergent.

The first Arnold Palmer Putting Course in the UK opened in Coventry in 1965 and was part of an Arnold Palmer Driving Range. A course was also located at a Driving Range in Sheffield.

They've also played crazy golf at a few other Haven holiday parks over the year.

Hopefully we'll get to have a game on the course on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in the future.

The American Golf National Adventure Golf Championship was a brilliant event to compete in and to see ourselves in a televised event was superb. The matchplay format in the grand final was well suited for television.

A day out in Rhyl

I had a lovely day out in Rhyl, North Wales yesterday. Once the torrential rain had cleared it was a pleasant afternoon for a wander.

Rhyl beach

I met up with my friend and minigolf partner Peter 'The Crazy Aced Assassin' Jones. While we didn't get to play any minigolf we did have a couple of games of Air Hockey. Peter is renowned in the minigolf world for his skills on the Air Hockey table and he comprehensively defeated me two-nil in games, with wins of 7-3 and 21-3!

I've never known a game go beyond nine-points, so how we got to play a match for 24-points I'll never know. I was 18-nil down before I got a point on the board. Still, at least I drew the last six-points of the game.

The Air Hockey I lost 21-3 on had the paddles secured to the table!

We had a walk around the town and seafront and took a look at the miniature golf courses there.
