Crazy World of Minigolf Tour - Course Visit #167 - Cornard Tye, Suffolk (Old Joe's Driving Range and Golf Course) - Putting

On the way back from Felixstowe we didn't expect to find any minigolf courses but as we were driving the scenic route back home on the 11th April we spotted a sign for a Golf Driving Range in Cornard Tye, Suffolk, and on a hunch we went to investigate.

As luck would have it, we found the Driving Range was also home to a Pitch & Putt course and a 9-hole Putting Course!

The Putting Green course is at Old Joe's Driving Range and Golf Course and was the 167th played on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

In the Irregular Mini Golf Tour Cornard Classic competition I beat Emily 51 to 58 over two rounds.

We have since played the course a number of times and it is now known as 'Magical Golf'. On this latest visit I defeated Emily 38 to 50 in the Irregular Mini Golf Tour Felixstowe Magical Classic competition.

Felixstowe's new Crazy Golf course - an update

On our visit to Felixstowe at the weekend we saw that the new Crazy Golf course that was being built next to the Grass Putting Course is unlikely to be completed.

The Putting Course itself (course visit #53 on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour) has now been given over to an area for Donkey Rides!

Course Visit #166 (& 6a) - Felixstowe (Ocean Boulevard Golf/Hollywood Holes/Grand Canyon Golf - Sea Front) - Crazy Golf

On the 9th April 2010 we played the 'new' 8-hole Ocean Boulevard Golf course in Felixstowe, Suffolk.

Parts of this course were originally located at the Sea Road Crazy Golf course. And Eight of the former 12 holes of the old Sea Road course, and some of the obstacles, have been moved a little way down the seafront and been renamed 'Ocean Boulevard Golf'/'Hollywood Holes'/Grand Canyon Golf'!

This video shows an overview of the 'new' 8-hole crazy golf course.

The course was the 166th played on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour (in addition to being #6a - in its previous incarnation as the Sea Road Crazy Golf course, aka Safari Golf).

In the Irregular Mini Golf Tour event played on the course - The Hollywood Classic - I beat Emily 22 to 32 over 8-holes.

Crazy World of Minigolf Tour - Course Visit Update - Felixstowe Sea Road Crazy Golf (April 2010)

We first visited the 12-hole Crazy Golf course on Sea Road in Felixstowe on the 19th of November 2006 and have since made many visits to both the course and Felixstowe.

It was the sixth course visited on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour and on our first visit was one of the three courses we played to make up the Irregular Mini Golf Tour East Anglian Classic competition (the third ever Irregular Mini Golf Tour event, which was played in the days before play-offs so ended in a tie between me and Emily!).

However, on our last visit we found that the course itself has been removed!

Parts of it (some of the holes and obstacles) have been moved to the 'new' Ocean Boulevard Course along the Seafront to make up an 8-hole Crazy Golf course.
