A visit to Putters Adventure Golf at Superbowl Warrington.

We played the 12-hole funfair and circus themed indoor Adventure Golf course at Superbowl Warrington yesterday afternoon. It was the 899th minigolf course we've visited in the British Isles!

A look at the Pitch and Putt course at Walton Hall and Gardens in Warrington.

We've visited Walton Hall and Gardens in Warrington a couple of times on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

The first time was to play the old Crazy Golf course and Putting Green back in 2009.

The second time was in 2016 when we played the new Adventure Golf course.

Next time we'll have to have a go on the Pitch and Putt course there.

The new Putters Adventure Golf course is now open at the new Superbowl UK fun centre in Warrington.

The 12-hole indoor Adventure Golf course has a circus and funfair-theme and was designed and built by the team at Figurativ.

New Adventure Golf course opening at Superbowl UK in Warrington.

An indoor Adventure Golf course is opening as part of the new Superbowl UK fun centre in Warrington.

Located at Golden Square in Warrington, the new Superbowl UK centre opens on Friday 24th May.

New Pirate Adventure Golf course heading to Bents Garden and Home

Second course set to open at Bents Garden and Home in 2018.

The Jurassic Cove Adventure Golf course at Bents Garden and Home has proven to be incredibly popular. So much so that a new Pirate-themed minigolf course will be opening there next Spring!

Adventure Golf at Bents Garden and Home

A visit to the Jurassic Cove Adventure Golf course at Bents Garden and Home in Glazebury.

Emily recently visited Bents Garden and Home in Glazebury, Cheshire for an afternoon of minigolf on the new 9-hole Jurassic Cove Adventure Golf course.

During her time at the course Emily was on hand to provide minigolf hints and tips as well as enjoy some putting challenges and rounds with visitors at the centre.

Emily said "I really enjoyed my afternoon at Bents Garden and Home. I played the 9-hole course with four different families, playing the holes, demonstrating potential shots and discussing the merits of minigolf as a hobby. All the children and adults were very good, with some excellent shots and potential stars of the future taking part!"

"My best score around the 9-holes was 21. There are a few very ace-able holes and the course is spectacularly themed, with huge animatronic dinosaurs peppering the course, making the layout really exciting for the young and old."

"The highlight was playing three-generations of a family who had travelled from near Southport to meet me, learn some techniques and try to beat me. The youngest member of the family was incredibly good and was leading the round until the very last hole when he unfortunately took a few too many shots, leaving me in the lead at the end of the round."

"I’d like to thanks Bents for their hospitality, and all the families whom I played against for making it a really successful event."

New minigolf course open at Bents Garden and Home in Glazebury near Warrington.

Bents Garden and Home centre in Glazebury, Warrington has a new Adventure Golf course.

The dinosaur-themed course opened this month and it's another course fairly local to us. We're looking forward to heading along for a game on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Adventure Golf at Walton Hall and Gardens in Warrington

Playing the Adventure Mini Golf course at Walton Hall and Gardens in Warrington.

Back in July 2008 we visited Walton Hall and Gardens in Warrington and visited the Crazy Golf course and Putting Green there.

The new layout is very different to the old one

Earlier this year a new Adventure Golf course opened up on the site of the old Crazy Golf course, a course that had been in the park since 1973 and was originally of the Eternit Miniature Golf format.

On the 18th September we met up with our friends and minigolf rivals Jon and Cheryl Angel for a round on the new course. We had great weather for the round on the tricky course.

Playing the last hole

My new 'local' knowledge must of played a part as I picked up the win with a score of 49. Emily and Jon tied for the runners-up spot on 52, with Cheryl picking up the bronze medal with a score of 65.

In the team event Jon and Emily won with a combined score of 104 to 114.

The new course became the 702nd visited and 413th played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour since September 2006.

There's also a nice looking Pitch & Putt layout at Walton Hall and Gardens. We might give that a play in the future.

As a fan (and curator of a) quirky museums we were interested to see a Cycle Museum at Walton Hall and Gardens too.

The museum was just closing as we were heading out of Walton Hall and Gardens

We did manage to grab a quick look around though. There were some interesting exhibits

Minigolf Course Visit No. 115 - Walton Hall Gardens

After drawing a blank on the previous two park visits in Manchester and Warrington we sort of struck Minigolfing Gold at Walton Hall Gardens, just outside Warrington.

First up was the 18-hole felted Eternit course (with added 'Crazy' obstacles).






Not a bad course, but it would be far better with just the original obstacles.

From a Minigolf Course to Flower Beds...

...the Minigolf course in Orford Park, Warrington no longer exists.
