Crazy Golf at Drift Park in Rhyl

Revisiting the Crazy Golf course at Drift Park in Rhyl, Wales.

Last month I had a fun day out in Rhyl and Prestatyn and swung by the Crazy Golf course at Drift Park.

We first played the course on our road-trip around the coast of Wales in the summer of 2009. Back then it became the 145th course played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. We also visited the course in September 2014, September 2017, September 2018, January 2018 and December 2018.

Last month I had a fun day out in Rhyl and Prestatyn with my friend and minigolf rival Peter Jones. As it was out of season we didn't get to have a go on the miniature railway or play any of the Crazy Golf courses there. Luckily the amusement arcades were open so we were able to have a game of UV glow-in-the-dark black light Bowlingo at Mr B's amusement arcade!

Earlier this week I had a brilliant day out at the seaside with my friend and minigolf rival/team-mate Peter 'The Crazy Aced Assassin' Jones.

We had to revisit the Crazy Golf course in Prestatyn

The weather was wonderful for the time of year and we had a good time exploring the two seaside towns.

I've been to both Rhyl and Prestatyn a number of times since 2009 and we stay at Pontin's Prestatyn Sands holiday camp for the On the Buses fan-club events. However, until my latest visit I hadn't been to Marine Lake - the location of Britain's oldest miniature railway!

As it was out of season we didn't get to have a go on the miniature railway or play any of the Crazy Golf courses. Luckily the amusement arcades were open so we were able to have a game of Bowlingo.

I'm already looking forward to my next day out at the Welsh seaside.

Mini Golf Putting Course at Rhyl's Botanical Gardens

A visit to the Mini Golf Putting Course at Rhyl Botanical Gardens.

Last September we visited the Botanical Gardens in Rhyl to have a look for the grass Putting Green.

Our friend and minigolf rival Peter Jones had let us know of the course's existence. We'd been to Rhyl a number of times over the years, but had never been to the Botanical Gardens as it's a bit of a drive from the seafront.

Sadly the course wasn't open when we visited.

Last January we swung by the Welsh Dragon Adventure Golf course at the Rhyl Family Fun Fair on the promenade.

We first visited and played the course on our road-trip around the coast of Wales back in the summer of 2009. Back then it became the 146th course played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

We also visited the course in September 2014 and September 2017.

A revisit to the Crazy Golf course at Drift Park in Rhyl.

Our penultimate course visit of 2018 was to the Crazy Golf course at Drift Park in Rhyl on Saturday 29th December.

The course was originally the 145th visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Back in 2009 the 11-hole Crazy Golf course was the 25th visited on our mammoth minigolf roadtrip around Wales.

Welsh Dragon Adventure Golf in Rhyl

Revisit to the Welsh Dragon Adventure Golf course in Rhyl.

On our holiday in North Wales we revisited the Welsh Dragon Adventure Golf course at Rhyl Family Fun Fair. As it was out of season the course was closed. It looked in good condition though.

On both previous visits I hadn't noticed what the castle was made out of - it took Emily to point it out! Me and my wide-eyed wonder eh!
