Ilfracombe Crazy Golf course to be revamped

There are plans to revamp the minigolf course in Ilfracombe, Devon.

We visited the course on Ilfracombe Promenade during our south west coast road-trip back in 2015.

It'll be nice to revisit on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in the future.

Many thanks to my friend Adam Dewar for sending along a few snaps from his recent visit to Ilfracombe, Devon where he had a game on the Crazy Golf course.

We visited the course on Ilfracombe Promenade during our south west coast road-trip in 2015 but were just too late to have a game there.

It's an interesting looking layout and the 12-hole course has some unique obstacles to play up, over, under, around and through.

I actually bought a couple of crazy golf postcards of the Ilfracombe course at the last postcard fair I attended before the pandemic.

We're looking forward to returning to Ilfracombe on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in the future.

Crazy Golf and Crazy Snooker at Watermouth Family Theme Park and Castle in Devon

There are Crazy Golf and Crazy Snooker courses at Watermouth Family Theme Park and Castle near Ilfracombe in North Devon.

One of the places to visit on our post-pandemic bucket list is Watermouth Family Theme Park and Castle near Ilfracombe in Devon.

There's a 9-hole Crazy ‘Fountain’ Golf course there AND a Crazy Snooker layout. When I checked with the theme park the team confirmed it is a Pit-Pat layout. That makes it the only outdoor Pit-Pat course in the UK!

Watermouth money

Two of the tokens in my collection come from Watermouth Castle. I found them at an antiques fair back in 2015 and I found out they date from before 1992.

I wonder how much 10 Gnolds are worth these days? Not that I'd part with the coin

I bought this pair of crazy golf postcards from Ilfracombe, Devon at the last postcard fair I attended.

Both were published by the Taw Valley Wholesale Co, Ilfracombe. Neither are postally used.

We visited the course on our tour of the South West in the summer of 2015. It hasn't changed much at all.

A look back at our visit to the Crazy Golf course in Ilfracombe, Devon.

During our summer holiday around the South West of England back in 2015 we visited 62 miniature golf courses on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

The last of the seaside courses on the trip, and the penultimate course visited, was the 12-hole Crazy Golf course on the Promenade in Ilfracombe, Devon.

The course was the 660th visited on our travels.

Squeezing 62 course visits into two-weeks was a BIG task and it wasn't possible to stop at, or play all of the Mini, Crazy and Adventure Golf courses, or all the Putting Greens and Pitch & Putts we saw on the trip, or those we'd heard about beforehand.
