A look at Halloween-themed miniature golf courses and events in 2020.

I'm a big fan of Halloween and always looking out for themed events and activities in the run-up to the scary season. It'll certainly be an interesting one this year for sure!

Haunted Mini-Golf

Hidden Oaks Family Fun Center in East Liverpool, Ohio, USA is running The Hidden Haunted Trail & Mini-Golf this year, with the Haunted Mini-Golf teeing-off today (Friday 11th September).

Last year our friends Tom and Robin over at A Couple of Putts shared their favourite scary miniature golf holes and obstacles on social media during October using the hashtag #Puttober.

Our friend Pat at The Putting Penguin is also a big fan of Halloween and themed minigolf.

Halloween last year

It was a different time last year and there were some excellent Halloween events taking place.

Manchester Monster Invasion: Return of the Monsters was a brilliant trail as part of Halloween in the City 

I got to see Ecto-1a and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man in Urmston, Greater Manchester last year too

Today is Summerween!

Happy Summerween.

Summerween is celebrated annually on the 22nd June.

Will you be carving a Summerween Jack-o-Melon today?

The quirky holiday is also on the second to last Friday of the month of June. That was last Friday.

So you get two bites of the cherry (or should that be watermelon) to celebrate the made up event.

Typically it's a very rainy and grey day here in Cheadle Hulme. Let's hope we get some sunny summer weather on Monday.

I'm a big fan of Halloween. It'll be an interesting one this year for sure!

Dates for your diary - Summerween 2020

Summerween is celebrated annually on the 22nd June, or the second to last Friday of the month.

Will you be carving a Jack-o-Melon this Summerween?

In 2020 Summerween is on Friday 19th and Monday 22nd June.

I think one of these very large watermelons at Cheadle Superstore on Councillor Lane would last me for both Summerweens

Halloween in the City 2019

A look at some of the monsters that have invaded Manchester city centre.

The first monster I saw was atop the old Mayfield Station

Halloween in the City has kicked off and the city centre has been invaded by ten monsters.
