Crazy Hills Putting Arnold Palmer Crazy Golf Course in Weston-Super-Mare

A visit to the Arnold Palmer Crazy Golf course in Weston-Super-Mare.

The third and final Miniature Golf course we played in Weston-Super-Mare on Sunday 17th July 2011 was the Crazy Hills Putting Arnold Palmer Crazy Golf Course on Knightstone Road.

The course became the 261st course played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

The 18-hole course is of the Arnold Palmer Putting variety (my favourite type) and was in great condition.

However, my game was not in tip-top shape and Emily thrashed me 42 to 48 to seal a decisive 132-141 victory in the race for the 2011 Weston-Super-Mare Pennant title that we played for over the day.

Emily also picked up the special Crazy Hills Putting Trophy for her Round Win.

It wasn't all bad news for me though as I did win a FREE GAME on the TOP HOLE!

After having a bit of a wander around to try and find signs of the Putting Green course that was also supposed to be on Knightstone Road (now turned into a playground), and a very nice meal at The Grove Bistro, we returned to the course for another round.

This time I won - but only by one-shot, hitting a 43 to Emily's 44!

Fella's Crazy Golf in Weston-Super-Mare - Miniature Golf Course Played #260

The second Miniature Golf course played in Weston-Super-Mare was the 14-hole Fella's Crazy Golf which is just opposite the Grand Pier.

The course was Open and ready for me and Emily to face-off in the next stage of the Weston-Super-Mare Pennant contest.

The course charged £1.60 a round for Adults...

And, in a Crazy World of Minigolf Tour first, also charged an extra 30p if you wanted a scorecard and pen to score your game!

The course was the 260th played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

In our Irregular Mini Golf Tour Match-up Emily defeated me 39 to 43, and also took the lead in the Weston-Super-Mare Pennant contest as we headed off to play the third and final round!

Miniature Golf Putting at Weston-Super-Mare, plus a Miniature Railway!

On Sunday 17th July 2011 we headed to Weston-Super-Mare and the first Miniature Golf course we played was the Putting at Beach Lawns. The course is also home to a Miniature Railway!

The course was very well maintained and excellently marked out ready for our game.

In our Irregular Mini Golf Tour Match-up I defeated Emily by one-shot, scoring a 50, to her 51.

The course became the 259th Miniature Golf course played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour, and it was the first course played as part of the day-long tournament between me and Emily for the 2011 Weston-Super-Mare Pennant.

The course had some really great touches, including its own Railway Station!

And the Putters Junction Signal Box.

And if I had been smaller I could have driven my own Tram!

All in all a great stop-off on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Clevedon Crazy Golf - Landmark 400th Minigolf Course Visited - 258th Played

On Sunday 17th July 2011 we visited the 400th course overall on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour!

The course was the 9-hole Crazy Golf on the seafront at Salthouse Fields in Clevedon, North Somerset.

The course was the 400th course we have visited overall since the 30th of September 2006.

The course was a tricky one to play and a lot of the shots needed to be very firm to carry them over some subtle obstacles within the course's concrete construction.

In our Irregular Mini Golf Tour Match-up I defeated Emily by just one shot to take a 23-24 victory.

Speaking with Rob the course owner, he told me that most players score in the thirties so anything under 25 is a good score. He also challenged me to a match-up on our next visit to Clevedon, a match I am looking forward to.

Rob told me the Crazy Golf course has been in place in Salthouse Fields since the 1960's and he runs it along with the Miniature Railway that runs around the park.

Clevedon was a nice little seaside and we would visit again.
