The two Volcano Falls Adventure Golf courses in Castleford were among the 20 courses we visited in the first 20 days of 2020. So much has happened since then!

Our travels in January took us to minigolf venues in Oxford, Birmingham, Manchester, Northwich, Doncaster and Castleford.

Castleford is home to six miniature golf courses and 87-holes - all in the Xscape / Junction 32 Outlet Village area.

Volcano Falls indoor Adventure Golf at Xscape Yorkshire

A look at Volcano Falls Adventure Golf at the Xscape Centre in Castleford.

Volcano Falls Adventure Golf at the Xscape Centre in Castleford, West Yorkshire is home to two 18-hole indoor adventure golf courses - Volcano Valley and the T Rex Trail.

The Volcano Falls Adventure Golf courses were the 594th and 595th visited on our travels back in 2015.

We revisited Castleford on our way back from a weekend away in Doncaster last week.

The entertainment and retail area at Junction 32 of the M62 in Castleford is a real minigolf hotbed.

There are six miniature golf courses with a total of 87-holes to play. They were among the 20 courses we visited in the first 20 days of 2020.

There's a Volcano Falls Adventure Golf centre at Fountain Park in Edinburgh that we've got to visit too.

4D Cosmic Golf at Xplore at the Xscape Centre in Castleford

A look at the glow-in-the-dark Cosmic Golf courses at the Xscape Centre in Castleford.

Xplore at the Xscape Centre in Castleford, West Yorkshire is home to two indoor Cosmic Golf glow-in-the-dark courses.

One is the Search for Atlantis. A 6-hole layout with an underwater theme.

The second course is the Curse of the Mummy in 3D (or 4D depending on which sign you read).

This is a 9-hole courses and one where you need to wear 3D glasses to enjoy the full effects as you putt around the layout.

The Xplore courses were the 199th and 200th visited on our travels back in 2010.

Volcano Falls Adventure Golf at Xscape Yorkshire

On Sunday 12 April we were heading back from a short-break in York and Knaresborough and decided to swing into Castleford to play some minigolf.

Xscape Yorkshire is home to Volcano Falls Adventure Golf and its two 18-hole indoor minigolf courses.

Emily tees-off on the T Rex Trail

The T Rex Trail became the 359th course played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour and the 594th visited overall. The Volcano Valley course was the 595th visited.

While I get scared off of the BIG dino on the course

There are some tricky second putts on the 18-hole course

There's some great theming on the course

Some 'cave paintings' showing the time travelling nature of our journey 65 million years into the past

Emily is lucky on this putt as the wind storm effect had just been on!

Neither of us were lucky on the last hole

In our match-up on the T Rex Trail I beat Emily with a score of 40 to 45.

It was great to see Volcano Falls merchandise on sale at the course. I treated myself to a branded cap

You can find the Volcano Falls course on a 'mysterious island' indoors at Xscape Yorkshire. Its just off Junction 32 of the M62.

In winning the match against Emily I also awarded myself a great Adventure Falls key ring

After 18-hole on the busy course we escaped unscathed

We're looking forward to returning to play the Volcano Valley course at Volcano Falls Adventure Golf in the future.

We'll be heading past Castleford on another road trip and pop in for a round then

Xscape Yorkshire is a great indoor entertainment centre with loads to see, do and play.
