Spotting some old Iceland signage on a modern Iceland store.

Emily spotted this old branding on the signage at the Iceland store in Coventry city centre.

We saw a similar sign at the Iceland in Holywell, North Wales back in 2018.

Knowing my interest in retro retail signage my friend and minigolf rival Martyn Williams sent me over this snap of the retro signage at the Iceland supermarket in Port Talbot.

I don't know how I missed seeing it when I was in Port Talbot for the Welsh Doubles Championship last year!?

Port Talbot and the seaside bit of it at Aberavon are well worth a visit. I had a brilliant stay on the seafront in May 2019.

I'm really looking forward to returning to Wales when it's safe to do so. 2020 is the first year in ages that I haven't had at least a day trip to the country.

I spotted an Iceland with pre-year 2000 branding while on holiday in Wales in 2018. That store is in Holywell, North Wales.

I had to take a second look when I saw these signs on the Iceland supermarket in Holywell, North Wales.

I hadn't seen Iceland signage and branding like this for a while!

There can't be many other branches of Iceland still carrying this old style can there...?

It's always interesting finding quirky signs and old shopfronts on my travels. In recent years I've seen the ghostly remnants of Tandy, Radioshack, Woolworths, Blockbuster Video, Toys R Us and Kwik Save on the high street.
