The Dino Mini Golf course is on Level 7 of the Blackpool Tower

We were lucky enough to visit Blackpool twice in August last year and that meant we were able to revisit a number of miniature golf courses.

Unfortunately we didn't have time on either occasion to make the most of a full visit to the Blackpool Tower, so we're saving our visit to play the Dino Golf course there for another day.

New Dino Golf course at the Blackpool Tower

There's a new Dino Adventure Golf course open on Level 7 of the Blackpool Tower.

Dino Mini Golf recently opened up on Level 7 of the world famous Blackpool Tower and is a 9-hole prehistoric-themed minigolf course.

We're looking forward to a game there on a return visit to the resort on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

If you're in Blackpool you can't miss the tower!

What a postcard!

We bought this great old postcard from a car boot sale yesterday. It was just 10p. What a scene.

Look at that sunburn!

We've been to Blackpool a fair few times over the years, but we've never seen the beach anything like that. Although it was sunburn weather on my visit to nearby St Annes on Sea last year.

The card has a nice special postmark on it with a list of the resorts that make up the 'Happy Holiday Coast'

We'll be heading back to Blackpool soon as we've heard there's an Adventure Golf course up the Blackpool Tower!

Many thanks to our friend Philip Walsh for sending over these great snaps of the derelict Crazy Golf course at Starr Gate in Blackpool. Philip photographed the course while aboard a tram during a recent tram heritage weekend.

Emily and I visited the remnants of the minigolf course - formerly an Arnold Palmer Putting Course - last October. Luckily we did get to play it once, back in April 2008.

Prior to our trip to St Annes on the Sea to play in the last Mini Major tournament of the season at MiniLinks Golf we'd noticed that Lowther Gardens in Lytham was home to a Crazy Golf course - how we'd previously missed it we don't know as we've been visiting Blackpool and the surrounding seasides since 2008!

The 9-hole Crazy Golf course at Lowther Gardens was good fun and a unique layout.

In our minigolf match-up I picked up the win scoring a 28 to Emily's 35.

This was the first time we'd had printed tickets like this for our round of Crazy Golf! Putters and balls are hired from the Lowther Pavilion Theatre

The course was the 443rd played and 753rd visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

The sign at the park also lists Putting as an activity, but we couldn't see that course.

Lowther Gardens in Lytham is well worth a visit, it's a very pleasant spot

MiniLinks Par-3 Miniature Golf course in Lytham Saint Annes

On the 18th June the MiniLinks Par-3 Miniature Golf course in Lytham Saint Annes became the 742nd visited and 437th played on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

MiniLinks Golf hosts a number of public tournaments on the Par-3 Golf course throughout the year and there are four special competitions that run at the same time as the 'Majors' in regular golf. Next up is the MiniLinks Open running from the 20th-23rd July.

The MiniLinks US Open golf trophy

My score of 67(+13) - recorded as a 65(+11) with the Beginner's Handicap taken into consideration - saw me finish in tied 13th place in the MiniLinks US Open tournament. A total of 43 players submitted their scores over the weekend, with the winner scoring a round of 48(-6).

On the 18th June the Pennines Putting Mini Golf course in Lytham Saint Annes became the 740th visited and 434th played on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Back in 2008 the Crazy Golf course at MiniLinks Golf in Lytham Saint Annes became the 48th visited and played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.
