A wide-range of minigolf courses.

We've seen the good, the bad and the ugly of minigolf courses on our travels, but feel that each and every one of them is worth a look in its own right.

The game of minigolf is one of fun and frustration and mixes skill and luck to tackle the obstacles set-up to trip you up and trick you as you play.

A BIG minigolf thank you.

We'd like to thank course owners, operators and suppliers everywhere for building, running and maintaining miniature golf courses of all shapes, sizes and types and look forward to playing and revisiting courses for more minigolfing fun in the future.

We'd also like to thank our family, friends, minigolf rivals, the wider minigolf community, and everyone who has let us know about a course over the years!

How many minigolf courses have we visited so far?

Below is the list of the 1,114 miniature golf courses visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour to date. 1,053 of them have been in the British Isles.

As well as playing minigolf in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Jersey and the Isle of Man we’ve travelled to minigolf courses in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Finland, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore, Spain (including Lanzarote and Majorca), Sweden and the USA.

We've been able to play a total of 595 of them as many have been found to be abandoned, closed, out-of-season or derelict on our initial visit. Luckily some courses that were closed on our original visit have since been played. And we've played some of these courses many many times over as they're so good. It's interesting to return to a course some time later to see what has, or hasn't, changed.

Here's a list of the courses we have played between the 30th September 2006 and the 5th December 2025.

Another branch of the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

My brother Christopher was with us when we played the first minigolf course on what would become the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Christopher and his family have visited courses around the British Isles as well as visits to courses in TĂĽrkiye, Spain (Majorca), Italy, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Indonesia, Croatia and the USA.

New minigolf courses in the UK.

Minigolf is an incredibly popular leisure and sporting activity for all ages, and we're seeing an exciting boom in new courses opening up across the UK. From vibrant indoor venues in towns and city centres to sprawling outdoor adventure golf parks, the game continues to evolve and captivate players all year round.

While minigolf was traditionally a seaside summer pastime in the UK, the last decade or so has seen its growth into more urban settings, with many venues now catering to a late night audience. It can be the perfect activity for groups of friends, families, and young and old alike.

  3. Today marks the sixth year of me and Emily's Crazy World of Minigolf Tour! We've visited 509 courses in a variety of types since the 30th September 2006!

Many thanks to everyone for the tips of where to play and for Tim 'Ace Man' Davies for creating MiniatureGolfer.com. It's been brilliant visiting so many different places in the UK (and a few overseas) and meeting some great people, many of whom have become good friends.

If you have any suggestions on what we could do with the next six years of our lives we'd welcome your comments...

  7. Prior to the coronavirus pandemic we were closing in on visiting the final 40 courses of the original 600 we set out to play in 2006. We're also very close to hitting 1,000 course visits overall.

We've been to a total of 948 courses on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour travels since September 2006.

Just because your local minigolf course may be closed over the coming few months doesn't mean you can't keep up with your putting practice and have some crazy golf fun at home.

As we're practicing safe social distancing we won't be heading out to a minigolf course until given the all clear to do so, but in the meantime we've put together a minigolf bucket list with ideas and suggestions of things to do in the world of miniature golf.

  10. Check out this new blog post with a look at minigolf courses on the Isle of Wight.

  11. Emily swung by Treasure Island Adventure Golf in Southsea on the way back from her trip to the Isle of Wight last month.

We played the Victory Trail course at Treasure Island Adventure Golf on Saturday 30th September 2006. I won a free game by firing the cannon on the lucky last hole and our minigolfing adventures have been rolling ever since!

  12. We had a superb time at the launch of the brand new Filwood Fantastic Crazy Golf course in Knowle West, Bristol.

The real life miniature golf course was created during the pandemic and the ideas for the hole designs were generated by members of the Knowle West community during Lockdown 1.

Find out more in my blog post "Filwood Fantastic Mini Golf in Knowle West, Bristol".

  13. The Crazy Golf course at Haven's Seashore Caravan Park in Great Yarmouth became the 1,133rd course visited overall on our combined Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

The visit to the course was also the landmark 50th course on Christopher's branch of the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour, as we have made several visits and revisits to the same course. It's brilliant that he and his family have also travelled to a number of different places here in the UK, and overseas.
