Not course number 75! Guildford Lido

Another unplayed course on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour

On the long and ever winding road as a touring 'Pro' Minigolfer tracking down new and exciting courses to play it is inevitable that some courses you plan to play at are locked-up because it is 'out of season'.

A case in point, Guildford Lido.

A shame as it was such a lovely sunny day.

I work just round the corner and I'm constantly disappointed that it's not open in the winter. Should be open in a couple of months though and then I can alternate my lunch breaks between the Lido and the Swedish Felt of Stoke Park Gardens!

You lucky b*gger!

The chap working at the Swedish Felt course couldn't be happier to let me play, and I had a few rounds there.

The Lido staff on the other hand were a bit miserable. Even when I explained my Minigolfing 'Quest' to visit and play every course in the UK they mumbled something about Health & Safety meaning they couldn't let me play.

Short of using the line "Don't you know who I am?" there was nothing left to do but leave :(

If/when I'm passing in the summer I'll let you know and we can play an Irregular Mini Golf Tour Event there at the two courses.

Cheers,

Richard

Volunteers tidied up the mini golf at Guildford Lido last summer, and when the season ended in mid-September, I asked the management whether the golf could be used during the remaining months of the year. The response was that people wouldn't want to. I will suggest it again.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your comment.

Great to hear the course is being maintained. It'd be great to play it one day.

All the very best,

Richard
