We played the Crazy Golf course at The Bunker on Seafield Road in Seahouses, Northumberland on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour back in April 2012.

Plans for a new Adventure Golf course in Northumberland

There are plans for a new Adventure Golf course to be built at the Sandy Bay Holiday Park.

Parkdean Resorts are planning to revamp the leisure facilities at the Sandy Bay Holiday Park in Ashington, Northumberland. Part of the work includes the creation of an Adventure Golf course.

Crazy Golf at The Bunker in Seahouses, Northumberland

A look at the Crazy Golf course in Seahouses, Northumberland.

In April 2012 we embarked on a huge trip on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour and visited a 49 miniature golf courses!

One of those was the 18-hole Crazy Golf course at The Bunker on Seafield Road in Seahouses.

It was the 494th course visited overall and the 297th course played.

Charter member of the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour Christopher Gottfried has added another course visit to his list as he recently spotted the Forgotten Garden Adventure Golf course in The Alnwick Garden while on a trip to Alnwick Castle in Northumberland.

We're looking forward to playing the Forgotten Garden Adventure Golf and a visit to The Alnwick Garden - they've got a Poison Garden there! Intriguing.

Christopher Gottfried has now been to 24 minigolf courses on his part of the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour, including courses in Turkey, Spain, Italy, Holland, Luxembourg, Germany, France and Indonesia!

Dinosaur Encounter Adventure Golf at Heighley Gate Garden Centre

New Jurassic Mini Golf course opening in Morpeth, Northumberland.

Our friend, and sister of superstar minigolfer (and all-round sporting marvel) John 'Big Al' Moore, Kay Heslop alerted us to a brand new minigolf course opening soon in the north of England!

The Dinosaur Encounter Adventure Golf course will be a 12-hole layout located at the Heighley Gate Garden Centre in Morpeth, Northumberland. It's scheduled to open on Saturday 5th March 2016.

The team at Golf Attractions are behind the new dino-themed course. We've visited and played their portable courses in Milton Keynes and Hatfield. They've also got a Jurassic Golf course at Bridgemere Garden Centre in Nantwich, Cheshire.

One of the temporary Golf Attractions courses has a Jurassic-theme. We played it when it was set-up in Milton Keynes in 2013

A visit to Seahouses to play Crazy Golf.

Back in April 2012 we embarked on a mammoth leg of our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour and visited a bumper crop of 49 miniature golf courses!

At Beaches Crazy Golf in Seahouses

On re-entering England the 18-hole Crazy Golf course at The Bunker on Seafield Road in Seahouses, Northumberland became the 494th course visited overall when we arrived in the town on the 9 April, and the next day became the 297th course played.

Driving through the town you can't miss the course as its sat right next to the road!

The Beaches Crazy Golf course is right next to Seafield Road in Seahouses. Note the historic plaque built into the wall - the public gardens were opened in April 1980

Each of the holes on the Beaches Crazy Golf course have a local landmark theme and name. The course is well worth a play, with some interesting, tricky obstacles and hole layouts.

In damp weather conditions on the 10 April 2012 we played a match-up on the course as part of our 'North West England, Scotland & North East England Tour Challenge' . In the contest I defeated Emily with a score of 36(par) to 45(+9).

The course was the last of the thirteen we were able to play on our roadtrip, and the 48th visited overall during the holiday.

During the trip we managed to play the world's first miniature golf course - at St Andrews.
