An old Crazy Golf postcard and a new Adventure Golf course.
I recently noticed that the Lightwater Valley Theme Park in North Yorkshire has opened a brand new Jurassic Adventure Golf course ready for the 2015 season.
Our friend Emma lives in nearby Northallerton and visited the theme park last year. She let us know they had a Crazy Golf course there and we'd added it to our places to visit list.
As a fan of all things miniature golf-related I've collected quite a few mini and crazy golf postcards over the years. One of my recent finds was a late 1970's card from Lightwater Valley showing the concrete Crazy Golf course being played.
We look forward to visiting and playing the new 18-hole course on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.
More information on the Jurassic Adventure Golf course can be found on the Lightwater Valley website.

Indoor Mini Golf at the Lost World Adventure Park in Skegness
Visiting an abandoned theme park and derelict crazy golf in Skegness.
On Sunday 10 May 2015 we visited the Lost World Adventure Park on North Parade in Skegness. Unfortunately it'd closed down. The Lost World had been home to an indoor Jungle 3D Glow-in-the-Dark Mini Golf course.
The course location was the 598th visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.
Luckily there are many other miniature golf courses to play in Skegness.

Through the fence you could see one of the dinosaurs and a caveman 'golfer' |

The Polo Tower in Morecambe
One of the remnants of the old Frontierland Theme Park in Morecambe, Lancashire is the Polo Tower.
It's one of the first things you spot when arriving in Morecambe!

The "Wild West" theme is still evident on the faux shopfronts near to the Polo Tower.

On the 27th July 2008 we were in Hampshire and headed to Hayling Island where we visited and played the 69th course on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour - the 11-hole Pirate-themed Adventure Golf course at the Funland Themepark.
In the 'Hayling Island Classic' minigolf competition, played as a stage of the 'Hampshire & Isle of Wight Invitational Tournament' the results were:
1st - Christopher Gottfried - 29(+7)
2nd - Richard Gottfried - 32(+10)
3rd - Emily Gottfried - 33(+11)

Water Wars at Thorpe Park - Gottfried vs. Gow
The Richard Gottfried vs. Steve Gow (obscure) sports 'war' continued at Thorpe Park on Sunday.
Stepping outside the normal arenas of Minigolf, Rock Paper Scissors, Crazy Air Squash and Shooting Shacks - we faced off in a Water Balloon War!

Shooting Shacks at Thorpe Park
On Sunday 26th July we visited Thorpe Park for fellow Minigolfer Steve Gow's half-birthday - and while we were there we had to play the Shooting Shacks.
This one was quite good.
This one was quite good.
However, this one was the second sh*ttest shooting shack I have ever played. Even though it was one of the best themed ones (a classic with Old Zeke Kicking the Bucket) barely any of the targets worked and those that did didn't fire any water.
