The answer was the Putting Course at Looe Bowling Club on Marine Drive in Looe, Cornwall, England.

We played the two Putting Courses at Looe Bowling Club on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour back in June 2015.

Bay View Mini Golf in Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby

There's a new mini golf course in Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby, North Yorkshire.

Bay View Mini Golf is a new course in Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby

Bay View Mini Golf opened at the Tennis & Bowling Club in Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby this year. It's closed for the season, but re-opens in 2026.

Our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. 

Bay View Mini Golf in Robin Hood's Bay looks like an interesting and unique course - it's a crazy golf course with raised borders, but played on a grass putting surface! It's always interesting to see new and different types of courses. We look forward to checking it out on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in the future.

This old postcard showing the Putting Green at the North Shore in Blackpool was posted on the 10th of October 1938.

We've visited the course on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. Unfortunately the kiosk was closed so we couldn't get a game. At that time in 2009 there was also a Crazy Golf layout next to the grass Putting Course.

Crazy Golf at Greens of Padstow

A look back at the old Crazy Golf course at Greens of Padstow.

It was the 650th course visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour back in 2015. One of 62 we visited on that summer road-trip.

We've now been to 956 courses since September 2006.

There's a new minigolf course Greens of Padstow now. We look forward to playing it in the future.

Mini Golf at Canoe Lake in Southsea

A look at the Mini Golf course at Canoe Lake in Southsea, Hampshire.

The 12-hole course was the 669th visited on the Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in August 2015.

It was one of the best grass putting courses I've played on my travels and the sort of course I could play all day long.

We've now visited 954 courses since September 2006. The very first course was also in Southsea!

It'll be marvellous when we're able to get back to the seaside.

Minigolf Putting in Knaresborough

A look at the grass Putting course at Knaresborough's Castle Yard.

Time really does fly! Looking through our records it's been five years since we visited Knaresborough in North Yorkshire!

The last time we were there we enjoyed playing the grass Putting course at Knaresborough's Castle Yard. It was a course we missed on our first visit to the town in 2010.

The grass Putting course at Knaresborough's Castle Yard became the 357th course played and 591st visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. We've now been to 948 courses since our travels began in 2006.

The course is the first we've ever been to that had a sallyport and secret tunnel running underneath it!

The tunnel was built in the late 13th or mid 14th century and was large enough for a small group of armed men to leave the castle secretly at night and launch an attack on any besieging troops.

Knaresborough is definitely on our list of places to go to post-lockdown.

 

Putting Green at Marine Gardens in Worthing

Two of the old minigolf postcards I bought at the recent Stockport postcard fair were of the Putting course at Marine Gardens in West Worthing.

Neither were-posted and are both undated.

We first visited the course in 2010 and revisited last April.

It hasn't changed too much over the years and is a nice spot to visit if you're in Worthing.

Putting Green at the Park Square offices in Cheadle Heath

The first unplayable course visit of the year.

On New Year's Day we walked past the Miniature Golf course at the Park Square offices in Cheadle Heath, Stockport.

It's our nearest course. We've never been allowed to play it as it's for tenants of the offices only.

Southwold Putting Championship 2019

The Southwold Putting Championship takes place this Sunday.

A lovely spot for some miniature golf

Good luck to all of the players in the Annual Southwold Putting Championship taking place in the Suffolk seaside town on Sunday 27th October.

The Southwold Putting course was the 478th played and 811th visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour in May last year.

I managed to score aces on the 7th and 11th holes. It's always nice to score holes-in-one on grass Putting courses

It's a lovely setting and a really good grass putting layout.

On our visit I shot a 41, the the low round of the week.

The course was a good test of putting skill

The course is well worth a visit. If you gain the lowest score of the week or season you earn yourself a spot in the annual tournament. You can also buy into the two-round competition with a £5 charity donation at the course.

Putting Green at the Hotel Miramar in Bournemouth

Among the old minigolf postcards we found at a collector's fair in Stockport on Sunday was this one of the Hotel Miramar in Bournemouth.

We've been to Bournemouth a number of times over the years and are due a Crazy World of Minigolf Tour revisit to the town as some new courses have opened since our last trip to the south coast resort in 2013. I can't believe it's been six years since we were last down there!

Looking on the Hotel Miramar website it doesn't appear to have a minigolf course there anymore.

We've played and visited a few miniature golf courses at hotels on our travels, including those at The Imperial Hotel in Torquay, the Sutton Staithe Hotel in Norfolk, The Riviera Hotel in Weymouth, the Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel, The Imperial Hotel in Exmouth, The Victoria and The Belmont hotels in Sidmouth and the Merlewood Hotel in Saundersfoot.

I wonder how many other hotels have minigolf or crazy golf courses 'hidden' in their grounds that we don't know about?

Golf Putting course at Mooragh Park in Ramsey on the Isle of Man

Last summer we had a holiday on the Isle of Man and clocked up five more course visits on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. One of which was the grass Putting course at Mooragh Park in Ramsey.

The 18-hole Putting course at Mooragh Park became the 828th visited and 488th played on our travels.

Mooragh Park is also home to an 18-hole TT Putting Crazy Golf course, that layout became the 827th visited and 487th we've played.

A revisit to the Marine Gardens Putting course in Worthing.

The flags were not out

On Saturday evening we had a stroll along the promenade to visit the Marine Gardens in Worthing.

The cups were in place though

Unfortunately we were a little late to play a game on the course.

In 2016 out friend and minigolf rival Trevor 'Lord of Smeeth' Robertson noticed that a quirky Crazy Golf style course had been set up next to the grass Putting Green at the gardens.

Grass Putting course at Lowther Gardens in Lytham

Revisiting Lowther Gardens in Lytham.

Last August we had a weekend away in Lytham St Annes and revisited the miniature golf courses in the area. One of which was the Crazy Golf course in Lowther Gardens. On our first visit to the park we'd seen a sign for a Putting course, but couldn't find it. This time however we did!

The Putting course was the 754th visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Grass Putting Miniature Golf at Stanley Park in Blackpool

Finding the Grass Putting Miniature Golf course at Stanley Park in Blackpool.

On our trip to Blackpool last August we swung by Stanley Park and were surprised to find a grass Putting Miniature Golf layout there!
