How many minigolf courses are there in the UK today?
As of July 2025, our research indicated there were approximately 1,436 minigolf courses around the UK (and the British Isles including Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, and other islands). This figure included public courses, as well as those at pay-to-enter attractions, holiday parks, hotels, and other 'non-standard' locations. Some of these courses were also under construction / in development. Over time some locations have also been partially or fully refurbished, while others have completely swapped out an old course for a new one in the same spot. Since our last update we've also discovered and unearthed several courses we didn't previously know about that have opened in the last year or so!

There are plans for a 9-hole outdoor adventure golf course to be created at the Hilton Puckrup Hotel & Golf Club in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

Discobowl in Burnley has a mini golf course.
There's a new Scrapyard Golf indoor minigolf course at the Discobowl in Burnley, Lancashire.
The Scrapyard golf indoor crazy golf course was an addition to the venue during its renovation and reopening as a Discobowl following the brand's acquisition of the former MFA Bowl.

You can find Scrapyard Golf courses at Discobowl venues in Banbury, Burnley, Chatham, Newport, Nottingham, Nuneaton, and Worcester.
There is also a crazy golf course at the Discobowl in Warrington.
Plans for an indoor Crazy Golf course as part of a new bar & leisure facility at Ferry Meadows Country Park in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire have been approved.
The No Work Club will be opening the venue in Spring 2026.
It'll be the second venue for The No Work Club brand, following the first location in Lincoln.
Alongside the mini golf course, The No Work Club in Peterborough will have escape rooms and axe throwing activities too.

King Pins will be opening a new location in Edinburgh on Friday 13th February 2026.
The King Pins Edinburgh Waverley venue will be home to tenpin bowling, mini golf, ice free curling, shuffleboard, pool and more.

Volcano Falls Adventure Golf is opening a new venue at the White Rose shopping centre in Leeds, West Yorkshire this year.
The new Volcano Falls Adventure Golf location will feature two indoor adventure golf courses.

A new adventure golf course is opening at Hertfordshire Zoo in Broxbourne.
Hertfordshire Zoo in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire is opening a new dinosaur-themed adventure golf course. The outdoor adventure golf course is planned to open at Easter (April) 2026.
The course is being created by RL Golf Construction Ltd.

Hertfordshire Zoo was previously known as Paradise Wildlife Park. The 18-hole 'On Safari' Adventure Golf at Paradise Wildlife Park was the 42nd Minigolf course visited and played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour back in March 2008.
There are plans to refurbish the old mini-golf course at Trowbridge Town Park in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
The current course looks to be an Eternit-style of miniature golf, with several additional obstacles on it.
It'll be interesting to see what the new course will look like.
The new Adventure Mini Golf course at Hawley Garden Centre in Sutton at Hone, Dartford, Kent is now open.

The new Carnival Golf and Games venue is now open at the Merry Hill shopping centre in Dudley.
Carnival Golf and Games at Merry Hill is home to two indoor 12-hole minigolf courses.

Plans for the adventure golf course to be created at the Hilton Puckrup Hotel & Golf Club in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire have been approved.
The 9-hole outdoor adventure golf course will include obstacles and theming representing the local area.
Plans for a new Mini Adventure Golf course at the Tee Time Golf Centre in Blackpool have been approved and are moving ahead.
The Mini Adventure Golf course at the Tee Time Golf Centre will be an outdoor 12-hole layout.
A new Jurassic Adventure Golf course is planned to be created at Youngs Park in Goodrington Sands, Paignton, Devon.
The new outdoor adventure golf course will sit next to the existing Shipwreck Island Adventure Golf course at the park.
A new indoor adventure golf course has opened on board a schooner in Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire, Wales.
The course is a 9-hole indoor crazy golf layout and opened as part of Captain Silver’s Ship Shack & Adventure Golf on the ship moored in Saundersfoot Harbour.

The team at Roxy Ball Room has recently refurbished their Merrion Street venue in Leeds city centre.
Part of the updates have seen a new 9-hole crazy pool course replace the one that was there before.

A new adventure golf course is opening at Sherfield-on-Loddon Garden Centre & Café.
Woodland Garden Adventure Golf is opening at Sherfield-on-Loddon Garden Centre & Café near Basingstoke, Hampshire in March 2026.
The Woodland Garden Adventure Golf will be an outdoor 18-hole layout and opens on Monday 30th March 2026.
Woodland Garden Adventure Golf is being built by the team at Theories Golf.

Globalls Mini-Golf Weymouth is opening in March 2026 and will be home to two glow-in-the-dark minigolf courses.
