Smugglers Bay Adventure Golf at Stonham Barns

A visit to the Smugglers Bay Adventure Golf course at Stonham Barns in Suffolk.

On Thursday 18th April we revisited Stonham Barns in Suffolk to play the new Smugglers Bay Adventure Golf course.

Last year we'd called in to Stonham Barns Golf Park and seen the course under construction.

We've been to Stonham Barns a number of times before when visiting family in nearby Ipswich. The old Crazy Golf course there was the 33rd played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour back in August 2007.

The new Smugglers Bay Adventure Golf course at Stonham Barns Golf Park became the 506th we've played and was the 815th visited overall.

Almost a hole-in-one

In our minigolf match-up on the 18-hole Smugglers Bay Adventure Golf course Emily scored the victory with a 41 to 50 shots scoreline.

We've now visited a total of 865 courses since September 2006. When we began there were around 600 courses in the UK. There are now more than 1,000!

Happy National Gardening Week

My little brother Christopher is a keen gardener and outdoorsman and spotted this well grown carrot in his local Morrisons supermarket. Quite apt for National Gardening Week.

100% gluten free at the Off The Wheaten Track Deli in Altrincham

A visit to the new Off The Wheaten Track gluten free deli in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.

On Saturday we headed over to nearby Altrincham to visit the brand new Off The Wheaten Track Deli. We'd heard the 100% gluten free deli was opening and were keen to check it out.

We had a superb lunch and it really is brilliant that all of the food there is 100% gluten free.

The beef sandwich was excellent and there was a lot of choice on the menu. It was nice to see the deli busy with lots of people enjoying the gluten free options. We saw people ordering other items we'll try on future visits.

It was so nice to be able to have a sandwich out of the house. The beef sandwich I had was packed full of ingredients and flavour. Very tasty

Off The Wheaten Track Deli has a huge selection of cheeses and we tried the very interesting charcoal cheddar. It was delicious.

We're looking forward to returning to the Off The Wheaten Track Deli.

Teezers Retro Golf course in Coventry

A visit to the Teezers Retro Golf course in Coventry.

On Easter Sunday Teezers Retro Golf course in Coventry became the 865th course we've visited in the last thirteen years. We've travelled to 38 courses in eleven countries so it was the 827th we've been to in the British Isles.

There's a wild Crazy Golf course in this building!

The 18-hole indoor Crazy Golf course at Teezers Retro Golf opened last year and was the 507th course we've played to date.

In our match-up on the intriguing layout I defeated Emily with a score of 48 to 56. I've since found out that my round of 48 is the best score recorded at the course to date!
