Mini Golf in London

A look at Mini Golf courses in London.

A look at Mini Golf courses in London

Mini Golf (also known as Crazy Golf and Adventure Golf) is an incredibly popular leisure and sporting activity for all ages, and we're seeing an exciting boom in new courses opening up across the UK.

While minigolf was traditionally a seaside summer pastime in the UK, the last decade or so has seen its growth into more urban settings, with many venues now catering to a late night audience. It can be the perfect activity for groups of friends, families, and young and old alike. The game continues to evolve and captivate players all year round.

Where to play Mini Golf  in and around London.

If you're looking for mini golf, crazy golf and adventure golf courses to play in London there are over 50 to choose from. These include a variety of course types, ranging from traditional crazy golf, to grass putting and pitch & putt, to indoor minigolf, to new adventure golf layouts and more!

Here's a list of the Mini Golf courses we know of in London:

Minigolfing in London on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

We've played several courses in and around London on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour over the years, and have competed in a number of tournaments in the city too.

Several of the courses we've visited in London are long gone, while others were temporary or pop-up courses.

We're looking forward to a return visit to London to see what's new.

Do you know of other Mini Golf courses in London?

Please do get in touch and let us know of any other mini golf, crazy golf, adventure golf, pitch & putt, or putting layouts we don't yet know about in the area.

Planning to visit a Mini Golf course - check ahead of time.

Where possible please do check that the course is still there and open before travelling to it. The online presence of courses is improving, and the way businesses market themselves is always evolving, so it's becoming somewhat easier to find the opening and closing times of courses. That said, we've spent the last two decades attempting to play as many courses as possible, and even we've ended up finding courses to be closed, removed, derelict, abandoned or unplayable when we've arrived!

Nostalgia and lost brands

Emily and I have spent the last few years reminiscing about 'the good old days'. One of our areas of interest is in old retail brands - we're both marketers by profession and two of my first jobs in the 1990's and the year 2000 were at Tandy and Toys R Us, while Emily's first job was at a Happy Shopper shop. It's been fascinating to find remnants of these brands - and a number of other lost, dead and defunct brands - on the high street and at retail parks around the UK.

During the pandemic our interest in lost brands and retail history was piqued and over the last five years we've been to several former Blockbuster Video stores around the UK, as well as finding some other old, and some still open, video shops on our travels.

At its peak in 2004 there were more than 9,000 Blockbuster Video stores around the world. 500+ of which were in England, Scotland and Wales. Interestingly in Northern Ireland the Xtra-Vision brand was used by the owners in-line with the Republic of Ireland.

The last Blockbuster Video shop ceased trading in the UK in December 2013 and there is now only one Blockbuster Video store in the world - it's in Bend, Oregon, USA!
