BMGA minigolf rankings update after the Kent Open

National Strokeplay Order of Merit and Season Only ranking updates from the British Minigolf Association.

The official British minigolf rankings have been updated following the KMGC Kent Open tournament held at the Lost Island Encounter Adventure Golf Course in Chislehurst.

Neither Emily or I could play in this year's Kent Open, so here's a photo from the 2010 Kent Open minigolf competition at the Lost Island Encounter Adventure Golf course in Chiselhurst

KMGC Greatest Hits: Volume One CD

While 'enjoying' a spring clean and general de-cluttering earlier today I found a rare Minigolf artifact in the form of a KMGC Greatest Hits: Volume One CD!

I believe I picked up the CD by the Kent Minigolf Club - at a Kent Open competition while at Strokes Adventure Golf in Margate in 2008 or 2009.

The club has other Minigolf merch available in the form of tournament balls from 2011 and 2012. I've also got a KMGC Calendar from 2008 somewhere!

Crazy Golf in Luton - Charity Fun Day at Kent Athletic Club - 9-hole Minigolf

On the 29th August 2011 we headed to the Bank Holiday Charity Fun Day organised by the Kent Athletic Club at their club grounds on Tenby Drive in Luton, Bedfordshire.

One of the activities at the fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer Support was a 9-hole Crazy Golf course. The course became the 267th played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

In playing the course, Emily and I contested the Irregular Mini Golf Tour Kent(ish) Invitational Tournament title with the victory going to me with a score of 34 to Emily's 42.

At Kent Athletic Club (Luton)

The Crazy Golf course laid out on the football pitch of Kent Athletic FC

Putting on the temporary Crazy Golf course

Great to see a windmill obstacle on the Crazy Golf course

Emily plays a shot on the Minigolf layout

The holes on the course were very small indeed

I also won two prizes in three goes on the Tombola!

Winning

I have no idea why the Kent Athletic Club is so called and how it came to be in Luton!? Their website does say they have been established for over 50 years though. In competition Miniature Golf there is a Kent Minigolf Club.
