A specifically Yorkshire fast food place.

I love the quaint look of the Merrie England branding. They even have a mock Tudor style inside

I'd never heard of the Merrie England coffee shop brand until I visited Huddersfield in May this year. It's a chain with branches in Huddersfield, Halifax and Brighouse.

There seem to be Merrie England coffee shops on every main street and shopping area in Huddersfield!

Looking on the Merrie England website they offer gluten free options too.

As well as having a sixth sense in finding minigolf courses I can also sniff out a laser tag arena wherever I go.

Petanque and a Miniature Railway at Greenhead Park in Huddersfield

A look at the Miniature Railway and Petanque Club at Greenhead Park in Huddersfield.

Earlier this summer we had a nice day out in Huddersfield. While driving home we saw a sign for the petanque club at the town's Greenhead Park so stopped for a look.

We enjoy a game of petanque and the Huddersfield Petanque Club has one of the nicest venues we've ever seen

When we parked up we also saw there was a miniature railway. A double-hit for two of our interests.

Since we moved up to the North West we've found quite a few miniature railways. There are three in Stockport borough itself!

I would've had a long wait until the next service

Crazy Golf at Roxy Ball Room in Huddersfield

New indoor Mini Golf course set to open at Roxy Ball Room in Huddersfield.

There's a new indoor minigolf course opening up at Roxy Ball Room Huddersfield in March 2018.

The indoor minigolf course at Roxy Ball Room in Leeds

The team at Roxy Ball Room are also planning to open a new minigolf course at their Manchester venue in February.

There are also Roxy Ball Room venues in Liverpool, Nottingham and Leeds - we played the Crazy Golf course in Leeds in November 2016.
