10 Minutes in Canvey Island
On a trip to Southend-on-Sea today we decided to take a quick detour to Canvey Island as it was on our 'seasides to visit' list.
Despite the driving rain we decided to brave the elements and have a walk along the seafront and to our amazement what did we discover but a 9-Hole Arnold Palmer Crazy Golf course in Cheeky Monkey's Fun Fair that was previously unknown to us!
Unfortunately it was closed (what with it being a very wet day in November), but we'll be back in Canvey Island in 2009 to test it out and give it a Crazy World of Minigolf Tour play.

The minigolf course used to have 18 holes but during the fairly recent development of the fun park 9 of the holes were demolished and the remaining obstacles on the course like the needle, the watermill and the windmill went too. such a shame as it used to be a great minigolf course
ReplyDeleteIt did indeed use to be 18-holes as I found out when I played the course in April.
ReplyDeleteIt looks good from afar, but as it's lacking felt it doesn't play too well!

Fantasy Island on Canvey Island is now home to a new 18-hole mini golf course.
